Chapter 3

"Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr". I find my alarm clock and punch it. I yawn. It is 5:30 and the bus arrives at 8:20. Time for a morning jog. I put on some sweatpants and find a jacket. I put my hair into a ponytail and grab a baseball hat.

I quickly eat a granola bar and take a few sips of water.

I walk outside. Not to cold. I start jogging around the block. After I circle around two times I take my jacket and my hat off. I jog around two more times and then go back inside. It's 6:08.

I walk into the kitchen where my mom, dad, and sister are getting ready to go to work and school. "Hi Lena!" My younger sister Kara cries. "Hi!" I say still out of breathe.

She gets out of the chair where she is eating breakfast and gives me a hug. "Eww" she says as soon as she makes contact with me, "Your all sweaty you need to take a shower". I laugh.

Kara is so cute. She is in 2nd grade. She has the longest brown hair and the prettiest blue eyes.

"Yea I'm gonna go take a shower, have a fun day at school, Kara!" I say. "Thanks you too!" Kara says in her squeaky little voice.

"Bye mom, bye dad!" I yell as I walk up the stairs. "Bye!" They both say in unison. I get some clothes and get in the shower.

I finish and dry myself off. I put on my jeans and my light blue sweater. I get out of the bathroom and find my brown boots. I blow dry my hair and straighten it. I put in my pearl earrings and apply a layer of mascara.

I sigh and look into the mirror. This outfit needs a scarf I think to myself. I look in my closet for a scarf. I find a fluffy white one. "Perfect" I say as I put it on.

I take one final look in the mirror and approve. It is 6:57. I walk down stairs and everybody is gone. My mom made pancakes this morning and there is still some left over. I heat it up in the microwave. While I wait I get a glass of milk and grab the syrup. After the pancakes finish heating, I grab them and slather them with syrup. "Mmmm" I say as I take a bite.

I finish eating the pancakes. "I am stuffed" I say to myself. I quickly use the bathroom.

I turn on the tv and start watching 'Keeping up with the Kardashians'. I hear a door open. "Hey Zach" I yell. "Hey" he says collapsing on the couch. He scoots right next to me.

I smile and we both watch tv.

"What time is it?" I ask him. He looks at his watch. "It's 7:35" he responds. "Okay" I say yawning.

My eyelids get heavy and suddenly I'm sound asleep.

"Lena wake up". I open my eyes. "It's 8:15" he says. "Oh shit" I say grabbing my bag.

I turn off the tv. Me Zach run outside to the bus stop. It just got here. Me and Zach run onto the bus.

I find Christi, Shalyn, and Leslie in the back of the bus. I Smile at Zach and make my way over to my friends.

I collapse in the seat next to Leslie and sigh.

"Hi" I say. "Hi" She says. "Are you ready run in athletics?" She asks sarcastically.

"I completely forgot" I say.

This is gonna be a long day.
