Bleeding

Pain seared  up my legs as I tried to stand up and get out of my bed. I had worked out yesterday and felt like I was about to die if I moved. I sighed and looked at my alarm clock.
9:00 am.
I gasped as panic surged through my body. I was gonna be late for my interview at the empire state building which was at 10 if I didn't hurry. I grabbed my brush and ran into th.
I took my light brown hair out of the two braids I put them in every night. I applied my makeup and went with a light brown and a light gloss so I didn't look like a slut. I grabbed my black suit and threw on my black flats. I looked at my phone as I rushed into the kitchen and grabbed an granola bar.
9:30am.
I took my flats off and threw them in my bag as I tugged my shoes on well trying to eat my food. I sprinted down the stairs of the apartment and waved hello to my neighbor Kelsey.
I rushed down the road as fast as I could I'm pretty sure that I had just broke the record for shoving people out of the way and apologizing at the same time. I reached the empire state building . I stood in front of the door having one of those moments I smiled and fixed my hair before pulling open the door.
"I'm here for the interview." I tried to sound confident as I talked to the secertary.
She nodded her head and pointed at the door next to her. I looked at her and walked through the door. As I did she looked at me funny but quickly looked at her magazine when she realized I was looking at her. I shrugged it off and sat down in one of the plush seats that were in the next room. I fixed my hair so it didn't look like I had been sprinting down the street cause I was late.
A man walked out of the room looking like he was about to start crying. I glanced over to see the most handsome man walk out after him. He had short black hair and his eyes were brown and heartless. He looked liked one of those men who would play with a girl just to see the reaction when they realized they were being played.
"Lorelie frances." His voice was deep and hot as well. I looked around and realized that I wasn't the only one in the room. The man looked at me and motioned me in the office.
"Oh I'm not Lorelei sir my name's Daisy." I smiled and nodded my head. I probably looked like an I'd up t but I wasn't about to be known as someone I wasn't.
"Well then come in Miss. Daisy." He motioned me to follow him in. I nodded and stood up and followed him in. I exhaled quickly to calm down.
Ok this is just a regular interview, that's all just an interview.
"My name's Daisy as you already probably know." I laughed nervously and extended for him to shake my hand.
He took my hand and shook it. "My name is Teddy. You can sit down Daisy." I smiled and we both sat down I handed him my papers that I had luckily hadn't forgot. He took them and set them on the table.
"So Daisy why do you think you should get this job." His voice sounded dreary which indicated that he had done a lot of things so far today or that he was just a lazy man.
"Well its always been my dream to work here." I smiled as he clasped his hands together. "My mom was a computer tech here, well before we got in the car crash." I frowned and folded my hands in my lap. I was getting too p personal.
"Do you exercise daily?" I cocked my head as he asked that question.
"Yes, I run a lot and I work on personal defense." I unfolded my arms and clasped my hands together as he nodded. This was odd, teddy was playing at something I could tell. It was like he was hiding something in plain sight.
"Are you good at building things?" I stared at him for a second. There was something I was missing. It was huge and I could feel it begging me to figure it out.
"Yea, I'm not the best but I could probably figure out how to make it." I looked at his posture he was sitting straight up as if he was trying to impress someone. I leaned down and pretended to look for something when I realized that there was a camara in each corner of the room.
"I love technology, my mom was always trying something new for the world." I shrugged as if those words meant nothing.
"I believe that is all Miss. Daisy." I stood up and shook his hand. "We will call you tomorrow if you get the job."
"I hope I get a call teddy and oh by the way you should keep your cameras better hidden." I pointed at the ones in the corner and pulled the camera out from underneath the table. I handed it to him and waved good bye.
I sighed as I walked out I had pretty much just blown my chance at the job when I pointed out the cameras. I hated being recorded and knowing it but being able to nothing about it.
I decided to take the subway home instead of walking. The ride home was slow which was surprising saying that the subway was generally fast. When we reached the station I walked to my apartment which was halfway down the street.
"Daisy." A voice said from behind me. I turned to see who it was, it was Kat. Kat and I had been friends since we were little. We did everything together and I mean everything. Our first day of school to prom. Yep I went to prom with Kat as friends of course.
"Hey Kat." I pulled her up next to me as continued to my apartment.
"How did the job interview go?" She asked as we walked into the apartment building.
"I blew it." I sighed as I realized I was probably going to have to go find somewhere else to get a job.
"What did you do that camera fit again." I nodded my head as no stuck the key into my door. We walked in and Kat sat down and patted the spot to me. I sat down and grabbed my laptop to start writing my thank-you for the making time for my interview letter.
"Spill?" Kat said I clicked send.
"There were five cameras in the room." I held my hand with a my finger standing up to put empathy on the five. "One in each corner of the room and one under the table."
"Umm that's a little creepy." Kat scrunched her face up and have me a hug. "Maybe we could go out tonight so you can forget everything that happened today." I shook my head and Kat frowned.
"My mother is coming in tomorrow." I shrugged and got up off the couch. "I have to clean." We both looked at the mess that was on display around us.
Kat left at about 6 leaving me to clean by myself. I had finished picking the majority of the mess up and all I had to do was vacuum the living room and clean the kitchen. I fiddled with my iPhone and turned on the pop radio. By the time I was done it was 9 and I was exhausted from my day. I threw my pj's on and slipped into my bed. I cuddled with my stuff animal tiger as I fell asleep.
"Buzz, Buzz." My phone quite literally vibrated me awake. I lifted it up to see that it was teddy. I clicked the answer button and brought it to my ear.
"Hello." I whispered because I wasn't fully awake.
"Hi Daisy it's me Teddy. I just wanted to inform you that you got the job and start today at 9:30." He said it slowly so I processed everything and then hung up. I groaned and looked at the time 12:36 am. My jaw dropped I hadn't though when he said he would call tomorrow that he met tomorrow. I set my alarm clock an drilled over to go back to sleep.
