I watched him running towards me, tears streaking down his beautiful face. I was to busy watching the tears fall from his face as he got closer that I had failed to feel my own running softly down my cheeks. He took two more steps and he was right in front of me. "Clo-" He cried out his voice wavering over the few syllables he said, as he reached for my arm. I jerked away from him not wanting to give either of us the pleasure nor comfort of his touch. He gasped at the action as if it had wounded him. "Baby please I know I messed up but please don't leave me." He spoke shakily fiddling with his hands as if to distract himself from touching me. I raised my head to look at his face. Bad move. His red watery eyes his red lips parted as uneven breaths came out of him.
"You said you wouldn't and you fucking did. I always knew this daydream, this game, we were playing was dangerous. And yet for some reason I believed every word, every lie, you ever told me. Now I'm done, I won't forgive you anymore." I said to him with a strong, slightly wavering, voice. I sounded strong but if he could see through my words he would know that on the inside I was breaking, that this would break me past the point of ever being fixed again. His mouth opened into an 'O' shape as he caught on to my words. Sounds came out of his mouth as if he couldn't find the words. He grabbed my arm again and finally spoke. "Clover, baby girl, no no this isn't a game and not everything that I have said to you was a lie. Not when I said I love you, because I do and I know you love me too. Don't let this ruin us, please I know I-we we can fix this just stay." Michael pleaded with wide eyes and a breaking heart. I watched the tears flowing down his cheeks like rivers and it took everything I had not to wipe them away. "I'm sorry Michael, whatever we had, what we were, is gone its nothing anymore. Were both nothing but castaways now." I told him as I shook off his grip and turned to walk away.
