Mom,

I know the salt rings and demon traps will keep me safe.

And I know the symbols on the wall will keep out the angels.

But tonight, I want you to tell me a story.

Tell me a story of reunited brothers,

who's long awaited adventure started,

after their dad wasn't home for a few days.

Tell me a story of the man in the baseball cap,

who shot any idjit demon who came knocking,

and raised two boys when their dad was hunting nightmares.

Tell me a story of a fallen angel,

who raised a certain Winchester from perdition,

and eventually became a hunter of his own brothers and sisters.

Tell me a story of a certain king,

who took his place after Satan was caged,

but still had an admiration for his little moose and squirrel.

Tell me a story of a prophet,

who spent countless months deciphering a tablet,

and helped two boys save the world,

despite having his life wither away.

Tell me a story about the woman of letters,

who fought alongside them all,

with her only armor being a Star Trek sweater.

Tell me a story,

of how despite all the good things they did,

they don't all get a happy ending.
