Chapter 3 : First Day of School

I woke up to my alarm clock ringing. Wow, summer went by fast! It's already the first day of school.

All summer long I practically just stayed at home, went to the beach, pool, mall, and movies. It was a really fun summer but it was very hot!

When I first got to Florida my mom took me shopping. All I bought were girly clothes, shoes, and accessories. My closet is filled with them now!

I only made one friend this whole summer. Her name is Lina. She is my neighbor. Lina is gorgeous. She is kind of pale, has dark brown straight hair that is medium length, and she is short. Her style is kind of punk and girly.

Her mom and my mom became friends too because they work at the same place. What a coincidence?! After work they go to each others house and gossip.

My new house in Florida is huge! I didn't know my mom could afford it but her promotion came with a raise. I still don't even know what her job is.

My new room is humongous! My whole room is purple and black. I have a desk with my new MacBook on it. I also have a flat screen TV that is on the wall. My bed is a queen size bed with a lilac comforter. My closet is huge! It even has a couch in it! My bathroom is connected to my room. There is also a huge window that looks over a pond and a forest. I didn't even know Florida had forests! There is also a bench on the windowsill.

My house is 2 stories. On the first floor is my mom's room, the kitchen, the living room, and the dining room. On the second floor is my room, my brother's room, 3 other bedrooms, a gameroom, and a movie room. In the backyard is a pool and garden.

I looked at the clock and saw I had an hour and thirty minutes to get ready. I went to the bathroom and took a 20 minute shower. I got out and brushed my teeth. I then blow dried my wavy hair.

I walked over to my closet and picked my outfit. I got dressed in a bold red skirt that came to my knee and a plain black short sleeve top that I tucked into my skirt. I then paired my outfit off with some black flats and a red necklace and earrings.

I went to my bathroom and put my hair up in a high ponytail. I then put on some mascara and chapstick.

After an hour and 10 minutes of getting ready, I went downstairs for breakfast. I had 20 minutes to eat. My mom and Antonio were at the table eating waffles and laughing.

I went up to both of them and kissed them on the cheek. "Good morning Josephine!" Antonio said smiling at me.

"Good morning my little monkey!" I said tickling his tummy a little.

"Good morning sweetheart." My mom said. I said good morning back to her.

I ate 2 waffles then started walking to school with Antonio. It's my job to take Antonio to school and pick him up after school.

Lina and I were going to walk to school together but she had to be at school early because of some dance thing. Oh yeah, did I mention she was also the captain of the dance team? Anyways, I heard her say she had to prepare for the newbies.

So today it's just Antonio and I. We had 25 minutes to get to school. 10 minutes to get to Antonio's school and 10 minutes to get to mine.

"Do you think I will make any friends Josephine?" Antonio said with a small frown. Today it's his first day of 3rd grade.

"Of course! Who would not like you?! You are the most awesome little boy I know!" I replied.

"You really think so?" He said looking up at me.

"I know so." I said grabbing his hand while walking on the sidewalk. He then looked up at me and smiled.

We arrived at his school 5 minutes later. "Bye Antonio! Good luck my little monkey" I said bending down and giving him a kiss on his forehead.

"Bye Josephine! I love you!" He said in his cute little voice while walking in to the school.

After I made sure he made it inside, I stated walking to my new school. It took about 10 minutes to get to my school.

I walked up to the doors and entered my new school, King High. As I walked down the hall trying to find the office, heads were turning and people were staring at me. I saw girls whisper to their friends about me and I heard guys say I was hot.

I finally found the office and entered. A woman who looked like she was 40 gave me my schedule. Looks like I have math first period, oh the joy. Note my sarcasm.

As I was exiting the office looking at the rest of my schedule, I bumped into someone and fell.

All i felt was shocks and tingles when I came in contact with whoever I bumped into. I looked up and saw the most handsome guy ever.

My eyes connected with his dark brown ones. It was like I could see into soul. His eyes had mixed emotions. The main one I saw was lust.

"Hey." He said with a smirk. That was all he said. He sounded like an angel. I sound like such a creep but I just about lost it right there, while still sitting on the floor with a stinging butt.
