"So," Daylin exclaims, clapping his hands together. "What do you want to do with your last day off before school starts?"

"Hmm, let me think." I purse my lips. "I could continue watching television while you go and leave me alone in peace," I suggest.

"Come on Brinley," Daylin pouts. "That's no fun. Let's go and do something together."

"You have two other siblings. Why don't you go and bug them for once and leave me alone?"

"Because I love you," he smirks, and I roll my eyes.

"The real reason."

"Katharos went to go shopping at the mall, and Emily went with mom to buy groceries," he whines.

"There's always dad," I point out.

"So?"

"Hang out with him. I'm sure he'd like to have father son bonding time."

"Yeah, but all he does is watch the news, and the news is so boring," Daylin complains, sagging his shoulders.

"You think everything is boring if it doesn't revolve around you."

"Hey, I can't help it if everything on Earth seems to center around me," he defends, a large smirk plastered on his face.

"Hey genius, there's something called a sun that the Earth rotates around," I snicker. "Go back to third grade."

"But I hated third grade," he whines.

"That's because you went around licking random things," I smirk, and he groans.

"Brinley, please don't bring that up. "You said you wouldn't say anything about that."

"I'm just saying," I shrug.

When Daylin was in third grade, and I was in second, he use to secretly watch those scientific horror movies. Well after around the fourth episode, he started freaking out and started thinking everyone and everything was an alien in disguise. Therefore, he went around licking everything to see if it tasted human or not.

It was disgusting, not to mention how he ended up getting ill three times.

Mom finally interrogated him, and when she found out that he had been watching PG thirteen movies, he got grounded for two months.

"So," Daylin exclaims, gazing down at my hardwood floor. "Do you want to do something with me."

"I already said no," I answer. "Why are you still here?"

"Well, I was hoping if I stayed long enough that you would say yes? You know what they say about persistence...it always pays off."

I roll my eyes. "Im pretty sure they didn't mean it like that. Anyways, no offense, but you sound like a complete stalker right now?"

"I'm hotter than a stalker," he smirks.

"Sure. Keep telling yourself that. Maybe your persistence will pay off," I mock.

"Meanie head," he grumbles. "Anways, we never do anything together anymore. You know one day when you're all old and wrinkly, you are going to regret saying no, but by then it will be to late. You'll be one of those angry old ladies that hates the world and happiness, just because you said no to your amazing, talented, and wonderful brother," he boasts, and I roll my eyes.

"Are you finished talking?" I question, arching an eyebrow.

"Yep."
