Chapter 1

My name is Kristine I have long blonde hair with blue eyes I have no brother or sister, and my dad died when I was seven.Ok I'll say something I really like this guy and whenever I go up to Alex my mouth goes dry and I stutter. Why would he go out with a girl like me? Alex has short brown hair and he is the captain of the football team. I'm not popular but I have a lot of friends that are like family to me. So at school Alex walks up to me and says "Hey Kristine do you want to go out on a date with me?"

My mouth was dry I was trying to say yes but I would stutter a lot and then something came out of my mouth for the first five years I have known Alex and then I said "Sure Alex I love to go out on a date with you." Chrissy was a cheerleader and everyone hated her because she was popular and she would walk up to me and say " Hey Kristime what's happening in loserville?" Man I hated her. Then Alex goes up to her and says "Just because Kristine isn't popular it doesn't mean that you can call her nicknames!" "Alex my super hot saviour" I thought. It left Chrissy speechless for days I kind of liked the new Chrissy she was quiet. But then something happened to me Alex leaned into me and kissed me. Chrissy saw us in the hall walking to our next class her face was bright red like a tomato. It wasn't my fault that there were window frames in the doors. We were going to different classes in the hall together. From then on Chrissy talked to Alex about me. Why were they talking about me? This was all my fault I knew I hated Chrissy and I knew I liked Alex but I didn't know what to do now. So I ran to my best friend Marilyn she had been my best friend for years. Whenever I had a problem I would go to her. Marilyn had long dark red hair with green eyes. She wasn't popular like me but we had loads of friends. She said to me "Krissy, darling why are you crying?" I said to her "I kissed Alex and she called me Kristime and she maybe a little pissed at me for kissing Alex." Marilyn was shocked she didn't know what else to say.

Chrissy walks up to me and says in a lower tone "I saw you kiss my boyfriend." Then I saw Alex walk up behind me and says "are you ok? Why did you run off yesterday?" I said to him " yes I'm ok I wanted some alone time to myself." Then he walks away with Chrissy. I wanted to follow them to see what they were going to say to each other but a little voice in my head told me not to follow them.

But then I saw a girl running in tears. I didn't know if it was a young girl or if it was Chrissy. I walked up to her and said "Are you ok why were you running?" Then she snarled at me and said "DO I LOOK OK? MY BOYFRIEND BROKE UP WITH ME!!!!." I just walked away. Alex came up to me and walked me home then he said to me "I broke up with Chrissy and now we can date Kristine." I was shocked at first then my palms started to sweat, my mouth was dry I didn't have a water bottle with me and I was speechless. So I had to run home. My mother saw me with my jaw dropped and she wanted to know what had happened to me. My mother Sam said "Kristine why is your jaw dropped?" I couldn't tell her and my mouth was so dry I couldn't even talk to my mom.

"Great just like when I had trouble talking to Alex" I thought. "What else am I going to do I can't tell my mom that I kissed Alex she would embarrass me and go bright red like Chrissy." There was only one thing left that I could do which was lie to her.

How was I supposed to lie to my mom I haven't done it before in my entire life. And I don't think Alex said what time I had to be at the restaurant. I saw the text that Alex sent me it said 8:00pm. Ok I had a couple of minutes to get ready. I had to lie to my mom but what could I tell her I couldn't tell her I was going on a date with Alex. So I had to think of a quick plan....
