Shade was running down the river, at lightning speed, his black coat a blur to anyone who sees him.
His yellow eyes flickering to the river and back to the ground in front of him.
"Hold on!" He yells to the river, his voice deep and masculine. Even in this simple command you hear authority, dominance. The voice of an alpha.
Shade can't wait any longer. The pup in the river can't hold on any more.
The pup disappears and Shade finds himself jumping in after him.
The problem is, Shade can't swim.
He submerges underwater, the cold water filling his nose and ears, stinging his eyes as he grabs the pup's scruff in his jaws.
Shade flails his arms and legs, managing to break the surface.
He looks around, the shore is a distance away, just a bit closer and he can throw the pup to safety.
He hears cracking...but but any type. A waterfall looms up in front of them.
Shade try's to desperately swim towards the shore but gets no where, his flailing limbs just getting him tireder.
