"What a ridiculous name." I look up to see my best friend since seventh grade, Piper Mitchell.
"What?" I ask, not bothering to stop the unloading of my backpack into the puke colored locker.
She reaches down to help and instead knocking one of my text books onto my head. "Oops, sorry. Gabby Gabbins. That must've sucked. Well, atleast she won't have to worry about it now."
I look around frantically to make sure no one heard her poke fun at a dead girls name. "What's wrong with you!?"
"Nothing! Calm down. I was just kidding." Pip shrugs her muscular shoulders, shaped from years of working out in the gym, lifting her hands in surrender.
"It's just... with everyone on such freak out mode, saying the wrong thing could get you thrown in the slammer."
She scoffs, "Half the people in this fucking 2 mile wide town are too stupid to tell right from left, I highly doubt that anyone cares."
"Whatever. Lets just get to class..." We meander through the halls until the bell rings and we are forced to go our separate ways.
As I make my way to English class I can't help but wonder, what the hell is up with her?
