I walk up to Emily and hug her. I haven't seen her for years since she moved ,and transfered to a different school. She says " thanks for saving me the power was down so I couldn't open the hatch". I ask her how did she get here. "My family heard news about a bunker my uncle rob had". Were's ur family I asked. "Gone". I'm sorry.she looks over at the body and starts to cry. "Mom". She breaks into tears. "She came for me I thought she died". I put my arm around her and say we have to go we can't stay here. raiders will show up to checkout the houses eventually. I check in the bunker and grab all the food and water I can. We head out tomorrow at dawn. She lays in the corner traumatized. I cover her with my jacket ,and we fall asleep next to each other when I try to comfort her with my arm over her.
