I breathe in the warm summer air of Vinice Beach California. I slow down my jog to stand still and look around. The beautiful sound of Ghost Town's 'You're So Creepy' fills my ears. And the sight of the ocean is right in front of me with the colors of the setting sun reflecting off of the water.
The song is interrupted by the sound of my ringer. Looking down I see that it's no one other than Ronnie Radke. I smile accepting the call.
"Ayeee what's up my little bunny!!" I hear beaming through the phone.
"Hey Ronnie." I smile.
"So excited to see you tomorrow. I got news. Your bus got canceled. The drivers ill. Soooo you're traveling in our bus!" I've never heard so much excitement in his voice. "I can't wait to see you tomorrow! We'll be at your place at 6am. We're going to breakfast and shit before we start on the road. I can't fucking wait."
"That's sounds great Ronnie! This is my first actual tour. Thank you so much for asking me to join you."
"Well little bunny, you earned it. I've watched you grow as an artist. And you definitely earned this. Don't let us down though."
I giggle. "I promise that I will not. I'll see you at six? I want to finish my jog, and get back to my apartment and pack. I also need to bring my dog to my moms."
"Ahhh Oaklee. You were suppose to bring you dog to your mom a week ago. Have you forgotten that she lives in another state?"
"Fuck. Yeah. What do I do?"
"Guess little Puggles coming with. I'll bring Charlie too." He giggles. "You're silly sometimes you know?"
I smile. "I know." I say quietly.
"So see you in the morning bunny?"
"6am."
With that I year a sigh from Ronnie and a "Goodbye Oaklee." Then a click of the line ending.
I look around the beach once more. Then jog back to my apartment. Reaching the building door I go in. And realize that this will be my last night home for two months. At least my dog gets to come with. I'm still very nervous to meet Metro Station, and Attila. I've known Falling In Reverse for a few months.
I get up to my top floor apartment and open the door to be greated by no one other than my dog, Chief the glorious puggle. He runs to me, slipping on the wooden floor. Grunting the entire time. Then jumps on my arms. This silly little boy is my life.
"Hey puppy. I gotta pack, you're coming on tour with me!!!" He gets such a happy face. And I touch the wrinkles on his nose. He's such a cutie. I set him down and walk into my room.
I grab my suit case. And begin to pack for what's going to be the best two months of my life.
*5am the next morning*
The annoying sound of beeping fills my ears and I have wet puppy nose on my face. I slap the alarm to turn it off. Why did they have to start the tour so early in the morning.
I slip on my slippers and go make some tea. After then I slip into the shower and wash up. Once out. It's time to tackle the disaster I call my face. I do my hair, drying then straightening my scene cut hair teasing it. Then put on makeup, pale bb cream. Eyeliner. And black eyebrows. I typically do more. But it's almost time to go. I should of gotten up earlier. Whoops.
I grab some clothes, black jeans with holes in them. A black crop top. And a leather jacket. How original. I slide on my black doc martins and get my bag. I put a leash on my dog and head down to the main floor to the dog area of the building to potty my puppy.
Once down there the familiar sound of my phone goes off. And I see that it's Ronnie.
"Hey Ronnie what's up?" I yawm while watching my dog pee.
"Where are you? You were supposed to be out front a few minutes ago." He says sounding annoyed.
Oh no. This is a bad way to start off the tour. "I'm sorry. I'm in the dog part of the building to potty my dog. I'll be right out." I say in an apolitical way.
"Alright." Ronnie says, and I hear the phone call end.
Gah. I hate when he does that. I quickly get my dog and suitcase then run out to where I see the large tour bus with people staring at it in aw. Wondering what and who could be inside.
Ronnie walks outside of the bus. And screams break out of nowhere. Screaming his name. He laughs and waves at me. Motioning me to move faster. I run over and onto the bus. The door slams behind me. And I see Jacky, Vincent, and Ryan all on the couch with Charlie. And Ronnie right in front of me who lunges in for a hug. I go to hug back only to realize I can't because my dogs still in my arms.
"Hey guys." I smile while putting my dog down.
"HELLO OAKLEE" The three guys on the couch yell. While Ronnie just smiles.
Ronnie brings me to where I need to put my bags. I place them where he tells me two. And before I know it. We're already at breakfast. We're at some small diner.
Ronnie holds my hand while we go inside, "what about the dogs?"
"The drivers going to watch after them." He whispers into my ear.
We enter the empty diner. And instantly get seated. The ask for drinks and everyone orders coffee besides me. I get green tea.
Small talk goes around the table about how wonderful the tour. And they inform me that were meeting with the other two bands at the he venue.
It's finally time to order our meal. The boys order an assortment of things that involve meat. While I order a vegetarian omelet.
Jacky looks at me confused. "Vegetarian?"
I giggle. "Have I not told you? I'm a vegetarian. "
They all have a shocked look. Then shrug.
After breakfast we get back on the bus. It's only seven. So we decide to change back into pajamas and watch movies. I put on my giant panda onesi.
Ronnie and I climb into his bunk and decide to watch jurassic world. It happens to be incredibly cold on the bus, even with the two dogs in the bunk. I'm surprised all of us fit up here. Two dogs. And two people. I cuddle into Ronnie's arms. And before I know it. I'm asleep.
I wake up what seems like a few minutes later to screaming.
Only the screaming seems to be coming from me.
And I feel eyes burning into me. While someone shakes me with worried eyes.
