It was a burning hot day as I walk down the streets with my flat cap in my other hand. Just then I have received a letter informing that I got promoted by CM entertainment. After all these years as a trainee and hard work, it has payed off. Well in CM entertainment, it works like this: first they do try outs and pick a feel to be a trainee, and then you get to study there for 3 years and they will pick a or on some occasions a few more to be promoted. I have always dreamed of being an actress. My parents are currently on holidays at Hawaii that I got them for their anniversary. They have had a hard time dealing with me. I try my hardest to behave but no matter how hard I try for being a good girl, I just can't last a minute. I decided to go to my favourite ice-cream place to celebrate.
'Hey there Ellie, you seem to be in a happy mood today, what would you like?' asked Jane, an employee that we know each other since a long time.
'As usual please,' I said.
'What happened?' she asked as she scoop up my ice-cream with a smirk'
'I got promoted.' I said as I jump around.
'Congrats, I'll pay.' she said giving the ice-cream to me.
'Thank you it's okay.' I said giving her money.
'Okay then, so you going to say goodbye to your current job?.' she said
'Yep.' I say.
'Have a nice day.' she said and moved on to serving the others.
'You too.' I said as I smile. I move to sit down and enjoy my chocolate ice-cream. It's my favourite. I was enjoying my ice-cream until someone pull on my hair.
'Hey!' I screamed, I hate it when people do that to me.
'You forgot your wallet.' he said. The guy have a dark voice, his wearing a red cap backwards. He had shiny olive skin, dark eyes and a side part pompadour. His glare, sexy as hell. I feel my cheeks burning.
'Thank you...' I said. He smiled at my stupidity, he stared at me a a little while and then ran off. I sit down, clutching my wallet in my hand. After I finish my ice-cream, I walk over to Jane to borrow her skate board because I'm not bothered to get my own. A shinny gold thing caught my eyes. The light shines into my eyes. I hover my hand above my head to block it out. I walk over to it and picked it up. It's a golden heart shaped locket. I try to open it but it won't. It needs...a key. I'll keep it, finders keepers. I carefully put it in my pockets.
'Hey Jane, can I borrow your skate board?' I asked.
'Yeah sure thing, just put it in front of my apartment when you get bored of it.' she said gesturing for me to meet her at the back door. I took off my jacket and wrapped in around my waist and then put my cap on backwards like that guy earlier on did. I skate towards the skating park across the street.
'You came back to me baby!' said Ethan jumping off his skate board and walked cooly towards me.
'I didn't come back here because of you.' I said skating away.
'Then who, darling?' he asked skating after me. I skate towards Rowan.
'I came back for Rowan.' I said hugging Rowan's arm with my eyes on Ethan all the time. His face is filled with disgust. Suddenly Rowan's girlfriend, Amanda storms towards me. Just in time, Ethan and I scramble away on our skate board while laughing. I turn back to wave back at Rowan, he waves back with a loving smile as Amanda slaps him. We skate to the other side of the park.
'How's your day?' asked Ethan putting his hands on his hips.
'...Fabulous!' I said swaying my hips to the side and posing in front of him
'You dating someone? You gonna leave me?' he said shaking me.
'Ethan...' I begin.
'I was always there for you, now you going to leave me, you gonna leave me, this old man to find a new love?' he said shaking me.
'I'm no longer a trainee! I got promoted!' I said as I hug him. He froze for a moment. He's a manager in CM entertainment of a boy band. We met on the trials for trainees. He helped me through a lot when I was a trainee, he was always there though my hard times. He pick me up and starts spinning.
'Omg I'm so proud of you babe.' he yelled with a big smile on his face. He gently put me down and hugs me. 'I feel happy for you. Oh, I'm getting old.' he said squeezing me a bit. 'My baby, Ohh..
I'm getting emotional...ohhh.'
'Oh stop.' I said with a laugh as we hug. We had dinner together and then after, we went to watch a movie.
'New girl?' asked the guy with a smirk at the cinemas as he took our tickets and ripped half of it.
Ethan scratch his head in unease.
'How many girls have you had ... this week?' I asked Ethan with a serious impression.
'Not much.' he said as he puts his arm around my waist and walked in.
'Seriously, when are you getting an actual one?' I asked pulling his arm away.
'Next one, I promise.' he said as we walk in and sat down.
'When's your first film or you going to a variety show?' asked Ethan.
'Filming a movie next week, the girl broke her arm, so I'm replacing her.' I said munching on popcorn.
'You seen your manager yet?' he asked.
'Not yet, stop talking, the movie's bout to start.' I said stuffing popcorn into his mouth. On my way home, I dropped off Jane's skateboard in front of her apartment. As I got home, I carefully took out the necklace and put it on the top of my drawer. I texted Ethan if he's home yet, after receiving his message, I went to sleep.
