12. While filming the 6th movie, Maggie Smith was suffering from breast cancer, but despite undergoing chemotherapy and various treatments, she was determined to finish filming. At that time, she said that she was going to "stagger through" the filming of the final installment of the series. Thankfully, Smith made a full recovery.
