I had given up. He didn't mean anything to me, so it was easy to leave him. When I arrived at my apartment, I grabbed my things and put them where they belong. I got in my day outfit and called Andi. She didn't answer. "That's weird" I thought to myself. I grabbed something to eat out of my fridge and sat at my table. I pulled out my phone to look at that calendar.

Thank God I don't have to do anything today. I walked upstairs to my room. When I walked in, I noticed something. A box. I made my way across my room to my bed to look at it. When I opened it there was a note. I picked it up and the note read.

Don't leave your home after this. You will suffer and that's a promise.

"Okay well I guess I'm staying in today," I walked around my room and it made me think of my mom. She left years ago with my little brother and I haven't seen her since. The war was hard, but I decided to stay here instead of leavingMy dad was gone too. I have lived on my own since I was 12 and I am now 17. My rooms bright purple and turquoise walls always made me feel safe. I sat in my room and eventually fell asleep again. Around 10:30 that night there was a knock on my window. "What the hell?" I asked my self. I peeked out the window and at that point, I wished I would have stayed in bed. It was Caleb.
