Kitten brushed her fingers through her hair and let a sigh escape her lips. The bag that sat on her bed in front of her was packed full, spilling over its side onto the blankets, and lastly to the floor.
She growled and kicked the side of her bed. Her mom was taking her to a model's summer camp. Sure, being a model was like, the best thing ever for Kitten, but that meant for the last few weeks of summer she'd have to leave Dick and Kori alone...
She sat on the floor and slumped so her back was on the side of the mattress. She tried convincing her mom by saying, 'I want to spend summer here... with Dick...' along with multiple variations of sad and teary-eyed faces.
But her mom refused and told her it was selfish for her to dis this opportunity - which she spent $16,000 dollars for. Kitten thought this was the most rude and unreasonable thing her mother could say... and do. Though Kitten was slightly excited, she did NOT want to leave for six weeks and come back to see Kori and Dick making out on his bed... where she's spent many nights before...
She hated the way Kori could just snap her little fingers and Dick could be all over her. Slowly tears began to well up in Kitten's eyes. Dick was the only person she's ever loved like this. Darren Fang was just... another story. He never treated her the way Dick did. The first time people ever laid eyes on Kitten, they assumed she was the bitchy blonde who was a total slut. When she went to school, they told her that to her face as well.
She heard her room door swing open, and her dad's heavy footsteps clunk down her creaky stairs.
"Kitten, someone's at the door for you."
Kitten groaned and stood from her floor, walking up the stairs passed her dad. She had no intention, nor did she have the energy to see anyone today. Sure she wanted to see Dick, but who wouldn't?
She swung the front door open and was met face-to-face with Autumn, one of her 'friends' from school. She mostly used Autumn (because she was Asian) to make her look smarter.
"What do you want?" Kitten questioned in an annoyed manner.
"You fucking bitch!" Autumn scream-whispered through clenched teeth, shoving Kitten against the side of her porch.
"What the hell is your problem?" Kitten spat, trying to shove Autumn off of her, but she wouldn't budge.
"I became your friend because I thought you were a changed person! But what the hell is wrong with you?" Autumn almost shouted with pure rage.
"You, right now!" Kitten said, finally managing to thrust the girl off of her.
"I told you not to mess with Kori!" Autumn said, jabbing a finger in her direction.
"I didn't."
"Oh don't give me that crap Kitten. Babs told me all about it," Autumn reached into her back pocket and pulled out her iPhone. "Paid a man to date rape her? How fucking crazy are you?"
"I stopped them!" Kitten screamed.
"That doesn't make it right!" Autumn screamed right back, as if yelling would solve this. "You paid someone to fucking rape her! You're a crazy bitch!"
"You touch me," Kitten said as Autumn raised a hand, ready to smack, "And I'll sue you."
"Oh fuck off!" Autumn yelled, shoving her back, causing Kitten to stumble. "I have all the evidence I need right here you bitch. All I'd need to do is contact the guy you paid, who happens to have given his number to Babs, and then cross them over with security cameras and these texts, which are from the phone you left at the bar," She stepped into Kitten's face, so close their noses were almost touching, "You can't do shit."
Kitten was speechless. Nobody had ever done that, nobody had ever yelled at her, shoved her into her crap like that. That was Kitten's job... wasn't it?
Autumn ran her fingers through her wavy chocolate brown hair and flipped Kitten off while she climbed into her car. Before she took off, Autumn rolled down the window, "You try anything, and I'll report you as soon as you even sneeze." And with that, the girl was off, leaving Kitten speechless and scared.

Vic sipped his coffee and stared into the black liquid. Today he was going to do something daring, he was going to do something he'd been waiting to do forever. It had been two years since he'd known this girl, and he was going to ask her out today. Today.
What had been eating at him forever, seemed to finally break loose last night. Even through all of the chaos. He'd asked her to meet him here... but he didn't know if she was coming. She was ten minutes late... but he didn't want to jump to conclusions.
This girl was just about the prettiest girl he's ever met, and he was willing to do anything for her. He thought even... he might even be in love with her.
He heard the jingle of the door and swerved around. The coffee shop he was at made it hard for him to see who had walked in. And there she was... peering through the crowd.
There she was.
She took a seat at the same booth he was and adjusted her plaid shirt as she sat quickly in her spot. Her hair had been frizzed slightly, and she was breathing heavily, suggesting she had run here.
"If you needed a ride here I would've-" Vic began, but she promptly interrupted.
"Oh, it's okay. I drove my car but I just couldn't find any parking."
He nodded and set his coffee cup down. "What's wrong?"
"Oh nothing," The slightly angry girl seemed to avoid the subject and just continued to stare at him. His muscular features making it hard to look away. "I just kinda got frustrated because I got here late."
"Okay." He said. Staring into her beautiful brown eyes and almost getting lost in them.
She just continued to stare back, until it felt like they were speaking telepathically.
Eventually, he gathered up the courage to begin the right conversation.
"So um..." He cleared his throat, "I've known you for two years, and, you knew Kori before she... Well, yeah. But I just wanted to tell you, you're one of my best friends."
"And you're one of mine." She said, receiving the coffee she'd ordered at the counter two minutes earlier.
"Yes and... I...." He stopped talking and looked strait into her eyes.
She smiled back at hime, with her cute little side smile she had whenever he looked at her that way.
"I have something to ask you.... Autumn..."
