Third Person P.O.V

Leonardo Da Vinci sat tiredly at his desk, painting a masterpiece that would change the course of the world. The painting itself was odd, and many without the eye, would not understand it. However, this painting was not meant to be seen by many, but rather by the one who will change everything.

With every minute passing faster than the last, Da Vinci briskly mixed water into the golden paint elixir, hoping silently to himself that this wasn't the last time he would feel the weight of a paintbrush. He was beginning to go numb, mumblingly on and on about how the piece he was perfecting had to be done in time, and the time was closely upon him. He could feel the weight of his task upon his shoulders as he added the finishing details. He then picked up his greatest work with his nimble hands, placing it to dry and admire his work for a moment before his world was shattered. He nodded to himself and wiped a tear that was threatening to spill from his eyes. Though he was sad, he was proud. The final painting of the set of eight that will save us all, was beautiful.

What felt like only a moment, Da Vinci was brought from his trance with a harsh knock that boomed on the old wooden door that was holding steady with three silver rusted locks. However, with every heavy pound, Da Vinci knew that the locks would not hold forever. He moved quickly to the final painting and ran his fingers over it lightly, checking to see it it was dry. He hummed as he felt the dry paint but soon felt the sorrow creeping in as the harsh knocking turned into rapid banging. He knew that time was ticking and he moved to the grand book case and pulled the title that many would look over. He smiled lightly and put the painting into book and closed it with a small thud, placing it back on the bookshelf. With longing and sadness settling in, he kissed his dry fingers and placed them on the spine of the book and whispered "Ne pas être trouvé avant le bon moment"

After his final moment with his treasure, the banging on the door soon stopped and the echo was left haunting Da Vinci. An angry voice yelled soon after, the tone telling him it was a warning.

      "Vous ne pouvez pas échapper".

Leonardo yelled to the people, knowing that they were right, but he needed to do one last thing before his life would be taken from him.

"Je viendrai à vous, mais donnezmoi un instant".

He look longingly at the book and prepared himself, walking toward the door. He knew after he left this place his fate would be unknown, but he was grateful he had fulfilled the task at hand and put in place the plan that would help the world one day.

As he reached the door, he unlocked the three rusted locks and stepped out toward his gate, accepting what would come in order to save the rest.

The men waiting for him roughly took Da Vinci by the arms and began to take him away. At this point Da Vinci knew not to fight, so he let them drag him on the cold, dry floor. As he was being dragged away he smiled at the secret room he was being taken from and whispered one final thing, a blessing to the book and the painting, hoping one day it will fulfill it's purpose.

      "Fais attention".
