(No Song For This)

I got myself situation from a long day. I grabbed my boombox and some clothes from rehearsal. I ran my shower, pressed play and undress.

I grabbed some soap and a rag on the counter. I began to bathe to Rihanna's Loveeee Song. After my shower, I grabbed my IPhone, my backpack, and put on my Vans. "You ready for rehearsals?" Prod asks while busting into my room.

"Keisha said she was going to call us in," I said.

"Oh well. Wanna go walking?" Prod suggested.

Sure," I said while I grabbed my card off the nightstand and put it in the side pocket of my backpack.

"Let's go," I said while closing my door automatically locking itself. We walked down the hall towards the elevator. "Hold up y'all!" Prod and I turned around and saw Princeton. He ran down the hall and quickly jumped into the elevator before it closed.

"Wassup Prince," I said.

"Wassup. So what's up with you and Ray?" Prince asked

"What?" I asked them.

"Zendaya don't play stupid. Roc, Prod and me know Ray likes you," he asks.

"I don't think he does. He's just being a good friend," I said.

"Zendaya, everybody knows that Ray likes you. Even the most stupidest guy in the world would know that," Prince said.

"That explains how you and Princeton knows," I said.

"Aye. Don't call me stupid. I skipped one grade," Prince said.

"Whatever." The elevator stopped and we boarded off. We went through the revolving door.

"I know you still like Ray," Prod said.

"That was two years ago. I got over it. Plus he's dating Star," I said.

"What is you talking about?" Prod asks

"She told me when we first got to our room," I told them.

"No she don't. She was trying to get Ray for 10 months now," Prince explained to me.

"Oh," I said.

We walked to the Milwaukee RiverWalk. "What are you guys trying to tell me?" I asked them both.

"We're saying that you both should stop bullshitting and date. Fuck Star and that girl Khera," Prod said.

"No okay. Ray and I are just friends. It was meant to be like that," I told them.

"But Ray--"

"Can you just drop it?" I asked Prod.

"Sure."

We walked to the railing to watch the river. People were outside eating, couples hand in hand, and some little kids running around. That's when a Selena song came on. I listened to the rhythm, the beat, and the melody

really closely.

"That's Techno Cumbia," I semi-screamed.

"How do you know Selena?" Prince asked.

"Selena Gomez?" Prod asked.

"No, Selena Quintanilla," I said.

"But how do you know her?" Prince asks again. I ignored him and began to bellyroll like Shakira because my mom used to be friends with her. She taught my mom how to belly dance and my grandmother taught me how to Folk Dance of Mexico, and my father hip-hop. I grabbed Princeton and Prod to dance with me. Prod tried to belly dance like me. The little kids came to join in. We danced until Keisha called Prod for rehearsal.

"Come on Princeton and Z. Keisha wants us," Prod said.

"Alright, let's go Z," Prince said.

"No."

I continued to dance until Prod picked me up. Prod slung me over his shoulder. I propped my head into my hands and pout.
