Josh didn't like Minnesota winters, no one did. But the first snow fall was more magnificent than any other thing he had ever seen, other than the girl next door, Haley. Now, Haley wasn't like any other Minnesotan. She was different, or so Josh thought. Haley was the dream girl to Josh, she had everything. She didn't have everything really, her parents were divorced and she was an only child...
Josh thought it'd be a good idea to visit his neighbors on a cold, snowy evening. Haley was first on his list. Josh lightly knocked on the front door, knock knock knock. He waited a few seconds, then someone opened the door.
"Yeah?" Haley asked.
Josh smiled. "So, wanna go for a walk?"
Haley blushed. "Maybe another time."
"Well, I guess." Josh said, starting to turn around. "Maybe another time."
"Before you leave," Haley said, "call me sometime?"
Josh nodded. "Sure thing."
Haley slowly shut the door, and Josh walked away. Next time, Josh thought to himself. Next time.
