Jitters
The only word to describe a new school. Especially when NOBODY knows you except for your siblings.
My siblings aren't much of a pain, unless you count the fact that my twin sister looks exactly me!
You heard me! TWINS! Who would have thought?
Her name is Xoe, short for Alexoea. (Uh-lez-ohe-e-uh) And my name is Noellia, (Noe-ell-ee-uh) but people call me Ellie.
My younger and annoying siblings are Lanina, 12, and Xander, 7. Xoe and I are 15.
•••••
It's 8:00 am.
Late.
My first class started at 7:35.
Xoe seemed to leave without waking me up.
I reached out to check my alarm.
Nothing.
Soon enough I figured out I wasn't in my bed!
I slowly opened my eyes, and I was right at the fence.
The fence in the front yard.
I never sleepwalk, but could I have started to?
No...
Could I?
No... We lock the doors at night...
But mom and dad went out last night, so maybe they forgot to lock up the doors?
I felt the wind against my fuzzy pajamas.
And then an ache against my back.
I turned around, and saw that my window was open.
Could I have fallen out?
No...
I pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
Ow.
Not dreaming.
And of course, from panic, I let out a scream.
Not only did I wake up the birds on the wires, but also the neighborhood.
My parents came running towards me.
"What the-", my dad started.
I guess I can sort of sonic scream or something, because I saw these people in really 80's weird outfits.
Then Xoe came out.
"ELLIE!!!" She screamed as the dashed towards me.
I was in the middle of a huge crowd looking smack-dab on me.
"S-s-sorry?" I stammered.
Everyone looked tired and disappointed, except for those weird people in the back.
They just smiled all creepy-like.
Figures.
After everyone left, Xoe and the creepy people were still were left surrounding me.
"YOU!!!" The woman in the group said.
I jumped back and ran for it.
Two of the men lifted me up so I couldn't run anymore.
"Hey! Let me go!" I screeched kicking and flailing my feet.
The let me down.
I caught my breath, finally.
I looked at Xoe.
"Aren't you supposed to be at school?" I asked.
"Water damage last night." She replied.
"Oh".
I sounded disappointed, but really I was happier then ever!
I would have jumped for joy, but my back felt squishy and I warn out my legs from kicking and flailing.
Wait.
"Who are you?" I asked as I turned to the 80s people.
"We are super agents of the Fundamental Agency of Recreational Timelines."
"FART?" I questioned.
"Recreational Timelines?" Asked Xoe.
"Yes and yes" replied the lady.
"What are you here for? We learned all about timelines in 3rd grade" I recalled.
"Recreational timelines" Xoe corrected.
"Only nerds like you have fun with numbers" I snapped.
"QUIET!!!" The lady demanded.
"That's fake. We are a SECRET agency of..." She paused.
"Superheroes" she whispered.
Xoe and I gasped.
"But-b-ut-uh we? Us? S-s-super h-h-her-heroes???" Xoe stammered.
The men nodded slowly.
"Or as we believe" replied the lady.
"We have SUPER POWERS?????!!!!!?????!!!!!??" I screeched.
Now they all nodded.
"Come" demanded the lady.
We followed in awe.
She took us to this secret cave hidden in the park.
As I stepped inside, Xoe nudged me.
"Ellie, why were you outside in the morning?"
I shrugged. "I don't know. I don't know." I said the second time slower.
"We know" said the lady, sitting comfortably in her throne.
I looked over at her.
"You do?"
