The sunlight peered into the dark room where Amaris lay sleeping on her bed. The birds began chirping to a sweet melodic tune as Amaris opened her eyes stretching slightly.
Amaris stepped out of the comfort of her bed and into the bathroom. She loved taking showers, they were where she made most of her decisions, and even though it sounds cheesy most of the decisions were important. It’s funny how when we were little most of the time in the bathtub was just toys and bubbles, Amaris thought to herself as she scrubbed herself clean.
She stepped out of the bathroom wrapping her towel securely around her body; she faces the mirror taking a look at her. Amaris didn't label herself in anyway, she didn't think of herself as 'pretty' or 'ugly' she thought those words shouldn't even exist.
'What's the point of having words that have a different meaning in every person’s point of view?' Amaris thought as she changed into faded denim shorts and a grey floral crop-top, she went to her small closet and grabbed her worn out High-tops tying up the laces after putting them on. Amaris looked at the clock '9:30am' it read, she quickly stood up and walked down the stairs of her lonely apartment building.
She picked up her skateboard that was lying across the couch next to her computer. Amaris smiled slightly at the sight of her computer, it was her only true friend. When she needed others they all eventually turned on her, and broke their promises. When she needed to tell her secrets she went to making videos. The secrets she had she could express them in her videos, she loved making videos to make her fans smile.
Amaris smiled remembering when she started gaining fans; she had posted a video of her going to visit the children’s hospital when there was a big ceremony going on. Many people started to view her videos because they said she was inspiring and a role model, they were the one thing that kept a smile on her face.
Amaris sighed quietly as she walked out of her apartment locking the door and getting on her skateboard skating to the nearby hospital for children in London. Amaris gets to the hospital as the familiar faces she had seen all her life smile and wave at her. She smiled back and walked to the room filled with joy and happiness,
"RISSA!" The little kids who were once sitting down watching cartoons yelled as they see her walk in and run to her smiling and hugging her.
“Hi my little munchkins!” She exclaimed her smile widening seeing them.
“Amaris guess what!” Little Johnny said as she sat down with them on the rug.
“What is it Joe?” Amaris asked.
“One Direction is coming here today!” Hailey says her eyes filling with excitement.
Amaris looks at all of the little kids and tilts her head a bit in confusion “Who?” she asks.
A lot of the little girls gasp and some of the boys laugh, “She doesn’t know! We must punish her!” One of the little girls yells and Amaris stands up.
“No! Anything but the tickle monster!” Amaris replies dramatically trying not to laugh. They all giggle and run after her tackling her to the floor tickling her, Amaris’s laughs filling the room.
Harry groaned in annoyance as him and his band mates stepped out of the van they were in.
“Lighten up mate this will be fun! Who doesn’t love kids?” Louis exclaimed excitedly as they stepped into the hospital the smell of medicine filling their noses.
Harry grunts a bit and crosses his arms “Shut up Lou you’re basically a kid at heart.” He retorts as the other guys sigh use to the attitude Harry had developed.
A woman comes up to them “Hello, you must be One Direction I assume?” She asks in a friendly voice.
“Yes ma’am.” Liam replies politely.
“Well we have arranged for you to come and spend time with the kids under 10 who are suffering from a type of brain tumor.” She says a bit sadly and leads them to a room, the door closed. As the boys walked up to the door the sound of giggles and laughter fills the silence around them.
“Well they sound happy.” Niall says looking over at the woman. She smiles and nods,
“Amaris might be here then.” She says and opens the door leaving the boys confused with who Amaris was.
The boys walk inside and the little kids look over at the boys stopping their movements. Harry’s eyes traveled down to the brunette who was lying on the ground. She turns her head her blue eyes meeting Harry’s leaving him speechless.
‘Was this Amaris?’ Harry thought to himself his gaze never leaving hers.
