harry loves school. he always has. he loves the concept of spending your day in an environment where you can just learn new things and soak up knowledge. harry mostly enjoys writing. he loves the idea of being able to write all of your feelings and thoughts down onto a piece of paper that you can keep to yourself or share with anyone. everything about school was just fascinating to him, and he looked forward to going everyday.

the only thing harry doesn't like about school, though, would be the negative attention he receives every day. his peers give him dirty looks and throw rude remarks at him. he even gets pushed sometimes. harry knows exactly why he is being treated this way, and he doesn't like it at all.

it's the way harry presents himself that bothers others. it's not like it's so out of the ordinary for a teenage boy to wear his lucky pink flower crown to school every day.

harry has always been on the more feminine side, his whole life. he's also gay. being in such a homophobic school didn't help his situation at all. harry hasn't come out yet, and he doesn't plan on it, unless he gets a boyfriend, which is highly unlikely.

harry loves feeling pretty. he likes to paint his nails pretty colors, and wear pink and lilac. sometimes, his mother, anne, paints his nails for him. anne is very accepting and sweet, and she already knows harry's sexuality. she tells him that she doesn't care about the gender he loves, only about if he's at his happiest.

only one person other than harry's mom accepts him for who he is. that person is niall horan; his best friend since year 7. niall has been supporting harry through all of his tough times. when the teasing got too much to handle and harry broke down, niall was there to make him feel better. he's harry's rock, his best friend. they have every class together. they're an inseparable pair.

niall was always a tougher lad, always protecting harry at all costs. he was able to stand up for himself. niall was confident.

today was a day like any other. go to school, hang out with niall, and stare at louis tomlinson. harry has a major crush on him. louis was a true sight for sore eyes. to harry, he was the most beautiful person in the world. kindhearted, talented, and all around wonderful. he was the captain of the football team in their school. louis is a nice guy, unlike his friends. louis' friends are actually the only ones who bully harry. no one else cares to do anything to him. harry doesn't know louis personally, but he's seen and, not proudly, eavesdropped on him and his friends. louis is a genuinely happy person, a sweet soul.

when harry watches louis, he's in complete awe. however, it all ends when louis' girlfriend, eleanor, joins the group. louis always hugs and kisses her. unconditional love for his girlfriend. he wishes he could cut eleanor out of the picture and be the one louis tomlinson lovee. the entire concept of louis being taken by a girl is sickening to harry. he hates the fact that louis is 100% straight and will never fall in love with harry, let alone like him as a person.

at this moment, harry and niall are at a football match at their school. why are they there? because harry dragged niall with him to watch louis play, just because he didn't want to be alone. niall understood, though, because if harry's alone, he's bound to get teased.

when louis and the rest of the team step out of the locker room, everyone starts to cheer, including harry.

"you're so whipped for someone who doesn't even know of your existence, mate," niall speaks up.

harry rolls his eyes, not taking his eyes off of louis. "one day he'll know," he replies dreamily.

copying harry's actions, niall rolls his eyes and mocks harry's sigh, focusing his attention back to the game.

after about 45 minutes, it's halftime. harry watches as louis wipes the sweat off his forehead and takes deep breaths. when louis is not longer in sight, harry takes his seat next to niall, adjusting the flower crown on his curly hair. "louis is so amazing at football, i bet he's going to become professional. oh boy, he would win every tournament and every game and i'd be there cheering him on, you know, because we'd be married by then and-"

"harry," niall cuts him off, laughing. "don't get to into your fantasy world. remember, he's straight and has a girlfriend."

harry's heart sunk at that realization. "well, maybe he's not. you never know, he could be bi, or just be using eleanor to cover his sexuality," he retaliates. harry hopes what he said is true, because he wants louis for himself. of course, he's too delicate and unpopular for louis. and louis could actually be straight, much to harry's dismay. but, harry still had his hopes up.

niall sighs, "i don't think that's the situation, haz. at all. i'm sorry." he pats harry's shoulder in attempt to comfort him.

before harry could reply, the players are back on the field for the second half of the game.

after the game had ended, louis and his team had gone back into the locker room to celebrate, because their time had won. harry was a full on cheerleader during the game, especially the second half, because that's when louis had really gave it his all.

as of now, niall and harry were walking in the dark, on their way to niall's house. seeing as they weren't old enough to drive, though they were almost old enough, they had to walk the distance. niall's house was only a ten minute walk away from their school, so they had no issue walking, they do it everyday. harry lives a five minute walk from niall, so every morning, harry walks to niall's house and they proceed to school together.

when they reached niall's home, they walked in and went straight up the stairs to his room. they plop themselves on niall's bed and pull out their phones.

"niall, do you think louis will ever like me?" harry questions innocently.

that's the thing with harry, he's extremely innocent. he needs niall to protect him from almost everything bad that comes his way.
