The Very Beginning

Prologue

I lived in a luxurious mansion. I had everything a seven year old would want. There was only two things missing: a mother and a father. My father is very much alive, but he treats me with hatred. He is an employee for Crypton, and spends all of his time in his lab, working on Ruuka, a droid. My mother vanished after I was born. Everyone says she died during childbirth. I will never know.

I stand beside my father as he works, desperate for him to pay attention to me. I tug on his coat. He ignores me at first. Irritated, I tug harder, accidentilly ripping it at the seam. "Tearessia, goddam it!!! Can't you see I am working?!" he yells, backhanding me, causing me to fall on my rump.

Upset beyond comfort, I get up and run to my room, packing as much of my things as I can. I am going to run away. Figuring that I will need money, I sneak to Daddy's room and take out his wallet, removing a fat wad of cash. All set. I take my leave and head into the city.

A few days later, I awake in an alley to grumbling. Is that my tummy....? I buy some takoyaki and sit back in my section of the dirty area. Daddy probably doesn't care that I ran from home. I munch happily on my food when a big burly man saunters in and attacks me, taking my stuff. I shout and scream, but no-one hears me. I am being robbed!!! 

Then suddenly a girl around her late teens appears, and almost throws a rock at him. For someone his size, he sure is cowardly. I didn't manage to thank her, because she was already leaving. I gather my possessions and follow her all the way to her home. Little did I know she was a famous singing droid, Colakai Mikaze (100% unrelated to VOCALOID) She raised me, alongside her genderbender Kolacai.
