(Mari): Gabs, have you seen my varsity jacket!? I got up, glanced at my open closet door and saw the pink varsitey jacket that Cousin Katherine gave her. (Gabi): uh...No? I rolled my eyes, and stuffed it deep in my closet. I grabbed my outfit, which consisted of a grey tank top, black skinny distressed jeans, and black converse. (Mari): Gabs, aren't you excited!? It's the first day of high school! (Gabi): that means we're "Freshman" kid. And unlike sophomores and juniors and seniors, we will be prey to older kids! Well, mostly You. Mari was a total sweetie. Growing up, she never had any enemies. Like, none whatsoever. It's weird right? Maybe it's cause she was born first...
And then there's me. Gabriela Carpenter, the Meanest person in middle school. I was hated then, but I guess things will be different. One could guess. After brushing my teeth, I grabbed my grey beanie and headed out. I saw Marin wearing a tan rose dress, black denim jacket, and black combat boots. She curled her black hair delicately to her back. (Mari): mom told us someone's coming to get us. S-should we start walking? I shook my head. (Mari): besides, I don't think I want to see 'HIM' right now! Mari put a hand on my shoulder, and smiled. What could be so bad that she'd have to-? Oh no.
Peeking from the corner, I saw mari look back at me in fear. What could cause her to be so afraid? I have two words for you:
