Chapter 1-
I halfway opened my eyes and looked at the clock next to my bed. It read 6:12. I turned over and stared at the ceiling, thinking about hoe today was my first day at the DWMA. I was way too tired to even think about getting up, but I somehow forced myself out of my bed and stood up and walked over to my mirror and looked at myself. My hair was a complete mess since I didn't dry it after my shower last night before I went to bed. Ugh. Not again. I dragged myself to my closet and picked out an outfit- which consisted of my usual, tank top, skinny jeans, and high top sneakers, and put them on. I walked back over to the mirror wandering what I was going to do with my hair.
"Hmmmm. My normal sideswept bangs should do. Maybe curl my hair? Yes. That's perfect!" I said to myself as I did my hair. After 45 minutes of preparation, I was finally ready. I picked up a bag, put it over my shoulder, and headed out the door to the academy. I was hoping to find a meister today, because I don't wanna be my own meister. That's just awkward. I wouldn't wanna be alone all the time unless you get sent with another group to complete your mission. But my top priority today is just meeting people and figuring out my way around this place. In the midst of my thinking and not paying attention to where I was walking, I bumped into a blue haired boy with a star tattoo or his right shoulder. "I'm sorry!" I said nervously to him. He turned and looked at me. He was accompanied by a taller dark haired girl. The girl grabbed his shoulder.
"BlackStar be polite," she told him sternly. He glared at her then me. I shyly looked back at him.
"I'm really sorry I-" I started.
"It's fine. You're new here. I can tell. I've never seen you here before, so I'll cut you some slack. But remember one thing," he said.
"Yeah what's that?" I asked him curiously.
"I AM THE GREAT BLACKSTAR. I WILL SURPASS GOD AND BECOME THE MOST POWERFUL PERSON TO EVER LIVE! I'M THE BIGGEST STAR THERE IS. AHAHAHAAAA!" he shouted. I glared at him.
"You're the biggest star? No way, I am!" I said loudly. The two of them stared at me with wide eyes, like the scattered people around me.
"Say what now?" he asked me. "You're the star? I'v e never heard anyone but myself say that before," he said calmly. I looked at him. He was kinda cute.
"Well. Fine," I told him. He put one arm on my shoulder and had a huge grin on his face.
"I like you new girl! Come on, let me introduce you to my friends," he said as he took me inside the academy. The girl with us looked at me and smiled.
"Oh, by the way, I'm Tsubaki. Sorry I didn't get to tell you sooner," she said sweetly. We had gotten to BlackStar's group of friends before I could properly introduce myself to them. A boy with dark hair and three white stripes stared at me for a minute or two. I looked away. Then he ran up to me.
"You my dear are almost perfectly symmetrical!" he told me. I backed up a step.
"I'm what?" I asked. BlackStar walked over to us.
"Oh yeah, this is Death the Kid, or Kid as we call him, who's completely crazy!" he said while hunched over laughing at his own joke. Just as he was laughing, a boy with piercing red eyes with white hair and a girl with brown hair and big green eyes walked over to the group.
"What's so funny BlackStar? And who's this girl?" the other boy asked. BlackStar straightened up and looked at him.
"I made a joke about Kid and this is a new girl. And now that I think about it, she hasn't told us her name yet," he said while they all looked at me.
"My name is Lanie Law!" I said with a huge smile.
"Law? Like Justin Law?" the girl with big green eyes asked.
"Yes, he's my older brother!" I told her.
"By the way, I'm Maka, and this is Soul. Nice to meet you!" she said with a grin. I smiled at her. Just as I smiled two girls walked up nest to Kid. One had short blonde hair and the other was taller, with longer brown hair. The short-haired blonde pointed at me.
"Look at her she's so pretty!" she said laughing. I blushed.
"Patty, pointing at people isn't polite!" the taller girl said. "I'm Liz and this is Patty," she said to me.
"Hello," I said with a grin.
"These are my two weapons. Oh that reminds me, are you a weapon or meister?" Kid asked me.
"Weapon, elemental bow and arrow," I responed.
"Ah. I see. Well I will help you find a meister today, just come with me!" he said as he grabbed me and started walking away from the group. He brought me to a tall man with gray hair and glasses. He had stitches all over everything. Kinda scray actually. Standing next to him was a tall teenage girl, with gray hair and glasses, green shirt, and gray skirt, with stitches on her just like the man.
"Stein, Sarra, this is Lanie. She's new and needs a meister," Kid told them. The girl stared at me.
"Ah lovely! What kind of weapon?" the man "Stein" asked me.
"Elemental bow and arrow," I replied.
"Well Sarra what do you say?" he asked the girl.
"Well. I think that would be okay," she said while reaching her hand out to me. I grabbed her with mine and we shook hands. I nodded.
"Hello new partner," she said with a grin.
