SAMS POV

What just happened? My knife was covered in blood as lifeless Zach lay under me. Emily looked at me with both disgust and remorse. "It's my fault" Emily said "I gave you the look, my eyes told you to kill him." I responding with a simple "no". We just sat there staring and the dead Zach the bloody knife for the past 15 or so minutes. "I have to go" I say looking at the door.. "Bye." I run past the door, tears streaming down my face. I killed Zach. One of my best friends. But that's okay.. I loved him and did what's best for him, I mean he got bit, right? I mean there's no way of saving that..?
I've been running for longer than I   thought I was. I stopped at a tree to catch my breath, damn I was sweaty. Looking back showed me only a slight glimpse of the camp Emily, Zach (not anymore..) and I have been staying in. I shook my head and kept running in the same direction I was before, hoping that Emily won't follow me. "I'll be back." I whisper, knowing that Emily can't hear me but directing it towards her anyways. "Meow" I heard from something (probably a cat) nearby. Even though I was in serious mode, I couldn't help but meow back. I looked around for the meowing, until eventually I found a nasty dirty,  young kitten going after a tiny mouse. "Oh, hello little kitty cat!" I said bending over to pet the little guy. He recoiled but eventually aloud my touch as he purrs. It was pretty peaceful in this moment, until a walker came by. I realized I shouldn't be having fun, but I can't help myself, I whip out my machete and slice the walkers head off. "Score!" I loudly whispered, looking back at the little kitten, who seemed to really enjoy my company.
Luckily, for me and my newfound friend, there was a (mostly) empty little shack nearby. I only had to kill a few walkers for it to be safe. I decided him and I should rest for a while, he seemed to agree too. I was hopeful that Emily didn't follow me, I didn't want her here, but I'd be back. There was a broken, springy bed. I lay myself down and as uncomfortable as it sounded, it wasn't too bad. The little guy, I decided to call him Machete, curled up in a ball and fell asleep right on my stomach. I'd almost forgotten that I had my comics with me in my jacket. I pulled them out and read one about Batman until I fell asleep.
It was the next morning and there was no sign of Emily. Thank God. I can't have her around right now. I looked down to see a still, sleeping kitty  on my belly. "Morning Sunshine." I say loud enough to wake Machete up. He arched his back as he stretched, opening his mouth letting out a slight yawn. "Okay, Machete. I'm gonna put you in my jacket so we don't lose each other." I say cheerfully, stuffing Machete in my jacket, which he didn't seem to mind. "We're gonna go on a little adventure, okay bud?" I asked not expecting any response, because he's a cat.. I yawned, stretched and realized I was pretty hungry. I guess we'll have to find food first.
I rummaged frantically through the shack looking for food. Victory! Wow there's spam left and a can of corn. "Okay Machete, we found some food, now we can dig in." I saw looking at the kitten in all of his adorableness. I opened the spam, and we began instantly dining in to the old, not so good spam. At least we can wash this down with some corn. We finished eating the spam and I popped open the corn and smelled the amazingness of the old, but still good corn. We finish quickly and I put Machete back in my jacket and opened the door to go on our escapade (adventure).
It's been hours of me playing with the kitten, venturing further and further away from the camp. I don't want to go back and I don't want Emily. The thought quickly ran past my mind but I shook it off. I looked over to see the quick slyness of a human (or so I believe). It got closer and I felt the worst pain I've ever felt.

EMILYS POV

Sam just killed Zach. I'm glad I didn't have to do it myself. I heard her say she had to go, but merely ignored it. "I would've killed him if you hadn't." I began, but then looked out to see Sam running away. I started running after her and did for a few hours. I was yelling for her but she didn't seem to notice me. I figured after a while she'd be back. She would be back, right? She had to come back, she wouldn't just leave me like that. I slowly walked back and ran into a few walkers. The camp was near, but I heard groans of pain and rustling in bushes near by. "Hello?" I whisper loudly. "P-please don't kill me." I hear the soft, yet masculine voice. I placed my hand out for the figure to grab it. I'm a very trustful person and apparently the person is too. He stands up, I see a blood from his pant leg but try to ignore it. "Jordan" he introduces himself. "Emily" I say, reaching my hand out for Jordan to shake it. He looked at my hand, then at me and shook it promptly.
I trusted Jordan, I couldn't help but trust him. I walked him back to the camp, he seemed to be pretty excited about the camp. I showed him inside and before anything I brought him to the kitchen, he seemed to be starving. When I gave him food, his eyes lit up in the happiest way possible. We ate and chatted for a while, talking about ourselves. According to Jordan, he's 14 and he never really had a camp, he did but he didn't trust them, so he ran away. "You can trust me, I won't hurt you, I promise, as long as you do too." I say. "I promise" he responds, filled with relief. "Here, I'll show you around." I say, motioning him to follow me.

JORDANS POV

I really liked this place and Emily seemed to be really cool and trustful. She fed me which I really needed and now I'm fuller than I've been in a while.  We chatted for a while, it was really me who did the talking, she's a really good listener. Emily motioned me to follow her, so I trailed not very far behind her. She must really trust me. She's showing me the rooms of her camp already. We come to one room that I believe to be a bedroom and she opens the door. ON THE BED THERE WAS A DEAD BODY THAT HAD A HUGE CLEARLY HUMAN CAUSED SLICE THROUGH THE BRAIN. I looked at Emily in disgust. She looked at me fearfully. " I swear to god" she said " this is not what it looks like." She moved quickly as I slowly backed away. She lifted up the sheet covering his lower-half and shows me his upper thigh. I sigh from relief. Emily looked at me with a sorrowful look on her face. "I didn't even do this, it was my friend, Sam. She did this, then ran away" Emily said.
Emily and I were getting to know each other really well. I knew that her camp was overrun by "walkers" I think she means biters, but I guess it is called different things. I know that Sam was her best friend, even before the apocalypse and it's killing her that Sam ran away. I know  a lot about her and she knows a lot about me, for once, I'm happy and I'd like this friendship to grow and last for as long as we live. We start talking again but are interrupted by a loud gun shot, followed by a scream. "SAM?!?!" Emily yelled as she ran past me in a hurry. I followed, not far behind.
