The Appointment

Doctor Rita Smith's POV

I walk into the room and a lot of people are squeezed into the little appointment room. I asked Alice to introduce me into everyone so she started with her brother.

She said this is Keith Mathews ,he shot her a look and said I go by Two-Bit, this is Sodapop Curtis Pony's brother, that is Dallas Winston or Dally, Steve Randell, and that is Johnny Cade. She took a big breath because she tried to say it in one breath. Oh and you know Darry from last time right? I shook my head and smiled while saying hi I am Doctor Rita Smith- well hey there they yelled interrupting me. Darry told them to stop and looked at me and asked, can we please get started? So I got to work I checked her vitals because I came straight to her room. I didn't want the nurse to get her vitals wrong she is new today. She did great everything is good and we got her ready to see the picture. I put the stuff on her stomach and she squealed. Keith and Dallas jumped up like I hurt her but she told them it was just cold and they sat back down. I was kinda scared because Dallas is really mean looking he is the strongest of the group and probably the meanest. I started moving the gel around and finally I got a picture just as I said you could see a little bit of the baby he or she was starting to grow. I was shocked at what I saw when I looked up, it looked as if Dallas was about to cry. Alice looked at Pony and Pony looked back at her they looked joyful. I told her she was doing good and that the baby is doing great but that could change in a heartbeat so don't do anything that doesn't seem necessary. I wrote her a slip for the next appointment and said that morning sickness comes around week six so be ready. She looked grossed out but she said I will be fine I can get through this. They walked out the door and I was less tense hopefully they won't all come next time.

Ponyboy's POV

As soon as we walked out of the clinic  I started to laugh at Dally he almost cried, hahaha. He socked me and threw me to the ground I heard Alice scream and that's all I remember. I wake up on the couch my cheek is numb I look over and I see Alice sitting on the floor next to me crying. I ask her what's wrong and she explains what happened and I remember. I can't tell she was worried about me the way she was talking. She started rambling about the whole thing and to stop her I kissed her I grabbed her hand a pulled her out the door. She asked where are we going and I asked do I have to have a place to go to go on a walk? We walked around and it started to get late so we walked back to the house and we went upstairs. We sat on Alice's bed and kissed for a while when Dally burst through the door.

Dally's POV

I say look I didn't me to sock you man I just got so damn mad. I just can't deal with what I have done I just feel like hell. Pony says it's fine I shouldn't have messed with you cause I know you have a hot temper man. I looked at Alice and said I am sorry for givin' you such a scare and would it be alright if I can help with the baby? She said sure and that it is fine that it didn't matter just be careful not to do it again. I took them out to shop for the baby and I let them buy anything they wanted.
