In the middle of the night , I woke up and saw some white figures lurking around the house. As I looked closer, I realised that they were stealing our things! I jumped out of my bed and ran after them. "Stop!" I yelled, but they were too fast and disappeared in the dark.

The ruckus woke the little boy's parents and I explained to them what had happened. They were too tired and said that we wouls discuss it in the morning

The next morning we gathered at the table and discussed what to do about the thieves. I decided to call my three bodyguards to stay in ambush for the thieves.

At night, my three bodyguards stood in the grass, waiting for the white thieves to come. Sure enough, they came. I was hiding behing the bush observing. My three bodyguards pounced on the two white thieves and that led to a fierce struggle. Unfortunately, one of the white thieves escaped. Kron tried to run after him but I stopped him. At least we had one captive.

We tied the white thief to a stool and interrogated him. At first he was reluctant, but relented soon as I took out a whip. He said that he was a thief working under somebody and his name was Jason. Jason? That name sounds familiar. " What's your boss's name?" I shouted. "I ..can't........tell.....he will...kill...me," he stammered. "Would you rather die now or under your boss?" I asked.

After a while, he finally gave in and told us all the details of his team. They were working for Clement Tan in an association called White Thieves den. He even showed me his badge. It was shaped like a circle and was white in colour. He was one of the members and was asked to steal from this rich family. His partner was called Light for his personality for being fast to escape.

I scrutinised him. He had a bald head and had blue contact lenses. He was muscular and had hair on his hands. One last question and I would be able to confirm that he was the one." Have you worked in the army before?" I asked. " Yes....and I killed a....a prince."

" Do you know who am I ?" I questioned him, anger rising. "Erm..no" he replied awkwardly. " I am Prince Taiga! The big brother of the prince!" I shouted at the top of my lungs. He was the one that killed my little brother, Volken! The murderer! Jason cowered in fear and almost fainted. " Kill...Kill him now." I said calmly.

Just as Kron was about to kill Jason, I said " Stop, I shall kill him myself!" I held my sword and said, " This is to avenge my little brother!" I stabbed him through his heart and he died instantly.

" Master Taiga, you shouldn't have killed him. You should have asked him where his gang was first," Aaroneiro said." I don't care. I promised Volken to avenge him. No one is to touch Dawn either or he will face a even harsher punishment," I said as I walked back to my room," Clean my sword later. Bury this guy somewhere and clean up the place."

As I lay in bed trying to sleep, I thought, I have avenged you, Volken. You can rest in peace now.

JASON'S POV

I could not believe my luck! Of all the assassination targets that we drew lots for, I had to get the easiest one - the little prince! There went another chance to prove my skills and prowess. How difficult was it to crush a little prince under my quarterstaff? How much could I boast about getting past the nannies and common palace guards? There were no imperial guards or death-dealers to defeat. A novice assassin would manage that, why did I have to waste my time?

An assignment is an assignment, I sigh, and no honourable assassins would turn his back on it, no matter how tough it was, or in this case, how miserably easy it was.

Or so I thought.

Draped in my tight-fitting black garb, which covered me from my neck down to my ankle, and wearing a balaclava that covered my face, complete with black gloves and sunglasses, I was almost invisible to any man. My bane was always the hounds, oh the wretched hounds! I could hide anything with my cloaking skills but they always caught my scent. My one and only failure so far was caused by them. Well, bathing once a year had its price, I reckoned.
