Crumpled paper

Chapter 3: The Bar.

After visiting the diner I start to walk home but stop next to a bar I've never been in. It feels like a good night to drink away my troubles. Bars have guys to make me forget Q, and beer to make me forget life. I may not be legal, but some douche is going to buy me a drink. 

I walk into the bar, and sit down. A twenty something man comes up next to me and asks what wrong.

I look at him. "Life." 

He calls the bartender and says, "garçon, your finest liquor under $15." Well everyone has a budget.

I'm handed some whiskey and I down it. This guy is actually really into what I have to say, and he hasn't looked at my breasts once. His friend he was with gestures him over but he waves his hand. I tell this dude my problems, and he smiles.

" keep your chin up. Sing a song." He grabs my hand and drags me to a karaoke machine. All the songs on it are kind of crap, but there are a few good ones, I choose counting stars by one republic, and singing with this random guy, who I don't know the name of I feel finally free, for the first time since I kissed Q in Alogue. 

"Everything that kills me makes me feel alive." I sing and it's true. I feel alive, even though I'm dying inside. 

The song ends and the guy asks my name.

"I'm Margo."

"Steven." We exchange phone numbers, and say our goodbyes. His friend walks over and introduces himself as Richard. 

They seem nice, and I'm hoping one will go home with me tonight, Help me forget Q. but then Richard kisses Steven. Well crap that's not happening. I'm cool with it, but I was hoping for something else. I've made two friends, ad I look around. This entire bar is full of twenty something males. I'm in a gay bar. Nice Margo. We say our goodbyes and I head home just as lonely, but feeling better, something like hope.

OMG, I'm so sorry that this story hasn't been updated for what, almost a year? Sorry this chapter was kind of crap, but I really needed to update. Hope you liked the bit of twist ending.
