Mate Date

Brooklyn's P.O.V.

I hated waking up some mornings, and this was one of those mornings. Today was my 20h birthday, and I didn't want it to come.

Today was the day I will find my mate. Yeah, I'm a werewolf. I know he wasn't in my pack because I have never had any interest in them. There all girl-playing bastards. I had never wanted anything to do with them.

I got up, and went to my bathroom. I looked into the mirror, and started to talk to myself. I had tend to do that a lot.

"This is you Brooklyn. I, Brooklyn Lovegreen will have to find my mate today. Shit, I'm not happy about it. "

Yes my name Brooklyn Lovegreen. I know I have the weirdest last name, but I for one thinks that its pretty cool.

I try to get a comb through my curly, dark brown hair. After 3 minutes of trying one strand I decide to wash my hair.

I strip down, and hop in the shower. It felt relaxing when the nice warm water hit my skin.

I turn the water off, and get out. I dry myself off, and wrap a towl around me. It was a short towel that if I do wrap around me it reaches the top of my thighs.

I found a black shirt, and skinny blue jeans. Then I go under my bed, avoiding the white blankets that are blocking my veiw. I pull out some black hightops that were kinda old. But they were still usable.

My hair was almost dry, when I got my shoes on. The black socks that I was wearing went well with it.

I go into my bathroom, and brush my teeth, for a good three minutes. When I'm done I hear a knock on my door.

I spit, and rinse my mouth with water. Then I run to my door. I open it and there my best friend is standing there.

"Hello Brooklyn, happy Birthday!" My friend Sophia tells me while handing me a present.

It was a little box, that was red, ad had a white ribbon going over it. I open it up, and I see a gold necklace that says Brooklyn in Ariel font.

"Oh my Gosh. Thank you Soph!" I say hugging her. It was a really pretty necklace.

"Oh course, now lets go to the club, and book you for tonight."

"I can't that bouncer hates me. He always give me a dirty look, and never does anything to me. Lets go somewhere else. Like.... the park! That sound fun right?"

"I guess, but if you change your mind..."

"It's fine, so lets go to the park, and see how it looks."

"Hold on, I have to grab my phone." Then I ran inside my room, and looked for my phone in my bed . I founs it in the middle, piled underneath blankets. I shoved it in my back pocket. Then I grabbed some chas on the way out.

"Let's go!" I said as Sophia and I skipped down the hallway.

I know what your thinking, I may be firends witha girl, but I don't act like one. I was a tom-boy. Though my hair was down to the middle of back curly, I didn't like it. I had always wanted to cut my hair, and have it straight. But it never happed.

So I have spent 20 long years with it and I'm going to deal with it for the rest of my life.

We went down the stairs, and ran out of the building.

We ran all the way to the park, which was maybe half a mile.

I got faster everyday, because I was a werewolf, but Sophia didn't know that. I always felt bad that I never told her, but I can't say my secret to her, because she has always been one to say everything she hears outloud.

I stopped when I got to the park, but Sophia went to go get us coffee. I was walking in the park like a normal person. Nobody looked at me, I was normal, I guess, since I wasn't a real werewolf yet.

I still had to wait until I met my mate to change.

But I just I have to wait.

I can smell something great, it was a scent from someone else., and then I hear wheels from a skateboard coming from the front. I gasp when I see them coming staight at me. I wanted to move but my body was frozen. Then one with choclate hair crashed right into me. We fell into the grass, rolling until we got to the lake.

Before I knew it I was soaked in the water.

But so was the guy that crashed into me too.

"Oh my God! I'm so sorry." I heard hi say. I was looking down at my clothes, and thought, "ehh, who cares anyway. It was an accident."

But before I could leave my face was being elevated up from my chin.

When I saw his green eyes I froze, the scent was coming from him. It was too good to explain though. His eyes went big just like mine did.

"Uhh, uhh, um, uhh..." Stupid words, just come out of my mouth would you. I wasn't saying anything. I was in shock. His muscular build was incredible. I could tell that he was strong. But he really wansn't bulky at all. He was skinny, and was wearing jeans, and a black T-shirt like me.

"Are you gonna say something?" He asked at me smiling.

I didn't say a word and then I ran. I was up the hill, that we slid down, and now I was running and avoiding the skateboarders, who were on the floor.

I kept running, because I knew that he was following me. I turned, and went into an alley. I couldn't go anywhere. There was a fernce that was too high.

So I turned around, and waited until I could see him. I didn't have a way out but I looked around anyway. Then right when I saw him I saw a door that led to the building to the right open just a little bit.

I ran inside right before the guy ran at me. I ran up the stairs and then down the hallways.

I cam across stairs that went downward, and ran out a door that led to a dead end. I ran to the end hoping to find another door, and instead I find just bricks going up, two stories high.

Instead I turn around. But I find the guys face inches away from mine.

"You can't run or hide." He said before he pinned me against the wall.
