I wear one
You wear one
We all wear oneTo prevent having to go to a councilor
To relive the horrible, painful moments.
To reopen the wounds that were once scabbed up for so long, just to have a knife
Relapses over the same spot.
The heart
The mind
The trauma
The addictionsTo prevent having to reveal your true
Emotions- you're identity- so you are able to fit in somewhere.
Mean something to someone.
Be loved by anyone. And around 11 o'clock when everyone
Is asleep you can finally
FINALLY
Take it offYour mask
The lifeless
Sad
Lonely
Angered
Face is revealed to the mirrorThe shattered one, because you thought you were so ugly-
So far from the word
BEAUTIFUL.
The same word which every
Male should mean
When they tell it to a womanBut they are used
Rapped
Seduced
Bought
Beaten
Tortured
For a mans pleasureAnd after those sweet dreams and you wake up
The mask goes back on
And you keep the destructive emotions inside go back under the mask.

In the Mind of the Writer
PoetryThese are poems about how I feel. Most of them will be kind of depressing but they are relatable for high school students. This is what goes on in my mind as a writer.
