A woman is walking through a dim lighted alley on her way home, some of the lights from the lamp posts lighting her path are starting to flicker, probably because it hasn't been replaced since.

She would glance at her back to see if someone is following her through the dark shadows of the night. The cold wind hitting her exposed skin through her red sleeveless and fitted dress, making her shudder.

" I-is someone t-there..? " She stuttered out, keeping her eyes alert for any movement.

She shrugged the thought and continue her journey. As she reached the end of the path, she heard distant footsteps from afar. She froze right in the spot.

Footsteps are heard from a distance and an ear piercing sound of something metallic being dragged though the pavement. As the footsteps got closer and closer, her heart starts to thumped loudly inside her chest.

The footsteps then stopped.

She slowly turned her head around.

A loud horrid scream escaped her mouth, the screams echoing through the dark night.

Then it stopped with a snapping sound.

The alley is now covered with red thick blood and the body of the woman is nowhere to be found.

The only thing left of her body is her head, fresh red blood still oozing out of it. Her face showing the agonizing pain she went through.

" In news tonight, there has been a report that another woman has been killed by "The Reaper" last night. The woman is estimated to be 20 years old and above but further informations hasn't been confirmed. Her head has been decapitated while the rest of her body is found just a few blocks away from the crime scene-- "

I quickly turned off the TV and pulled on my coat just as I saw the news. " Another one.. " I mumbled to myself then exited my apartment.

It's been a few months since the incident about 'The Reaper" started. They called him "The Reaper" because of the way he kills his victims by chopping off their heads. All of the victims are woman and they continued on until today. They are all been decapitated and the bodies are found just a few blocks away from their chopped off heads. The police has been chasing their tails over this for the past few months now and they couldn't find a simple clue or lead to who the culprit is.

And this mystery caught my eye.

I'm Lucille Blair, 22 years old. I work as a writer in a newspaper firm and a detective of my Father's Detective Agency. I also wrote a lot of documentaries and articles that helped a lot of people that are posted on my blog.

I fixed my glasses as I reached the parking lot where my car is parked. I took out a key from the pocket of my fitted skirt then opened the car door. I slide inside and started the engine.

On my way to the crime scene, I received a call from Glenn, my boyfriend. I picked up my phone then pressed the answer call button.

" Hello, Glenn. " I said, smiling.

" Hi, honey! " He chirped happily from the other end of the line, which made me giggled.

" What is it that you wanted, honey? " I asked as I giggled, keeping my eye on the road.

He chuckled. " I just wanna remind you about the party this Saturday. Mom and Dad are expecting you to come. "

" I'll be there. Don't worry, honey. " I reassured him as I parked my car.

I exited the car and shut it close. " I need to go now, Glenn. I'll text ya later. Bye. I love you. " I bid goodbye to him then ended the call.

I strapped on my camera around my neck and made my way towards the flock of people standing on the other side of police line preventing them to go further to the crime scene.

I slide in from under the police line to get to the other side. Upon reaching the crime scene, I quickly scanned my eyes on the blood that has covered the entire wall of the alley way. I started taking pictures of every part of the crime scene, taking note of every possible clue.

I found myself near the dumpster where the beheaded body is. The unidentified body of the woman has been sprawled out on the pavement, swimming on a pool of blood. Flies are already swirling around the lifeless body, probably because of the foul smell of the corpse and the dumpster where the body has been left.

I held the camera, focusing the lens on the corpse. I took a close up picture of the body then continued with my search.

I left by mid noon when I took enough pictures of the crime screen.
