Dancing In The Rain

Moonlight

The moonlight twinkled above our heads,

Hovering much higher then the tops of trees

The sidewalk stretched out farther

Then we could even tell

But we breathed in it,

Taking one step at a time

You hold my hand

And grip it tight

You whisper, "I'll never let you go"

And even when the daily challenges

Are about to head our way

You stand strong and fight for me,

Because you're all that I have right now

The stars twinkled in correspondance with the moon

The clouds shifted to the sides 

Revealing a peaceful night sky

We found a little tree and sat down,

Hand-in-hand

Wondering where the path of life

Would lead us next
