Isaac's POV

*5:30pm*

I was sitting on the couch, alone thinking of what happened today, "I was so stupid" I whispered to myself "I should have not left her when she said leave me"

I had the potential inside me that was telling me to call her, but I was too ashamed, I grabbed my phone and typed her number, my thumb was fighting the air, "should I call her?"my thumb was 1inch away from the green flat call button

I heard the door bell, I locked my phone and answered the door

"Hey man" Evan yelled cheerfully

I gave him death stares as his hand was paused in the air waiting for me to high five him

"Won't you high five me?"

"No" I spit out harshly leaving a carved area on his heart

"Why bro?" He was trying to act so cool

"Ugh nothing, come in"

He sat on the couch and I sat on the couch facing him, I had my fingers tangled with each other

"So....is everything alright?" Evan asked

"It's just Emma"

"You love her?" Evan worriedly asked

"Yeah, I really love her more than anyone else"

"Does she likes you back?"

"Uh...well...I don't know what to say"

He didn't say anything, I can tell from his eyes he was waiting for the answer "no"

"I think yeah, I mean we kissed like 100 times, but today she didn't talk to me"

He looked so depressed when I mentioned "kissing", I think he still loves her

"Emma told me everything" I told him

"She did? Not surprised"

"Why did you do this to her, why did you lie to her"

"It's a long story, I had to do this, for her own good"

"Explain"

"When we used to love each other, there was this strong boy in our school that could actually murder people, he said if I don't leave her and change my school he will kill her" he teared up

"But if you really loved her, you would've not gave up on her" I responded

"Uh I know, I was just too afraid if something happens to her"

"You still love her?" I asked after a long silence

He didn't answer he was trying to speak something but he didn't

"Evan do you st-"

"YES I DO, okay I do" he interrupted me

"Then why do you have a girlfriend?" I questioned

"When I moved me school I felt so lonely and I wanted a substitute for Emma but I realized no one is like her, no one"

"Since you know her more than me can you answer my question"

"Yeah" he wiped his tears

"Where is Emma's dad?"

"She didn't tell you?" He asked

"I asked her once but she fainted"

"Not surprised she has the right to fa-"

"Why what did he do" I interrupted him

"I think it's personal I shouldn't tell you" he responded

"Evan...tell me now" emphasizing the word now

"Emma's dad was passing through difficult situations, her mom had an unknown disease and to cure it, it needed a surgery and it was so expensive, so Emma's dad used to sell drugs, without telling anyone"

"NO WAY" I interrupted him

"So after her mom got cured he wanted to get rid of the extra drugs he had so he sold them, but the police caught him"

"And for how long will her father stay in prison?"

"13 more years left" he disappointedly said

"Okay I have to go"

"No stay longer" I said

"No I have to go"

After 10 mins of Evan's dismiss I thought of going to Emma's house
