Derek's POV

We arrived at Target and Katelynn immediately ran and grabbed a shopping cart and started roaming around the whole store

"Well come on slow poke pick up the fucking pace" she said putting things in the buggie

"Sorry sorry" I said now walking behind her while she's pushing the biggie and I occasionly touched her ass once in a while just to make her nervous

"So what you getting" I told her while my hands we're wrapped around her waist

"Well I need some wrapping papers and some tape and some bows and possibly some gifts I like doing my Christmas shopping early sometimes" she says smiling

"You have a really beautiful smile mami" I said truthfully

"Thanks" she said blushing

"What was your favorite thing about Christmas before you know" she said sincerely

"Um " I started off

"It's ok if you don't wa-" she said before interrupted her

"No I do because I trust you for some reason" I told her while looking deeply in her eyes

She smiled showing her dimples

We started walking and I started telling her the best part of  Christmas before my parents died

"So it was about when I was 14 years old and my family would always do this weird tradition thing where we would wear these embarrassing ugly Christmas footies Pajamas" I started which made her laugh and I laughed to with her

"And we would wear them on Christmas Eve and bake cookies kinda like what you baked and brought to me when you came back and sung that Christmas song and we would send our Grandma and Grandpa Christmas card of us wearing those ugly fucking footies pajamas but enough of describing that but the reason why I love that memory is because that's always the time where would bond and act like those TV family you know" I told her I looked at her and it seemed like she was really interested in what I was telling her which made her care

"But when the day they died my whole life changed I started doing drugs I started a drug dealing business and I done a lot of bad things that I can't take back" I told her with tears streaming down my face

She went up to me so we're standing face to face and she wiped away my tears with her thumb and I smiled at her and I held her hand which was still on my face but was on my cheek this time while we we're embracing this moment she looked up and saw a mistletoe up in front of us

I looked at her and we both smiriked at each other knowing what we have to do I may hate Christmas but I know what we have to do when there is a mistletoe in place and I'm really fucking excited to do it

I wrapped my arms around her waist and she cupped my cheeks and we both started leaning in until our lips were  barely touching and brushing against each other
