Carlisle's pov.
If I told you that today was
a normal day, I'd be lying. No, today was the day that new girl came. We haven't had a new girl since amber lee. And no one talks about her.
The excitement buzzed
through the classroom. I, too , was excited. I really did hope this "new girl" is friendly because I sure do need friends. "Carlisle!" Said a sugary voice. Rolling my eyes, I replied, "What, Harper?" She tossed her caramel colored hair and leaned down to my ear, " I missed you this weekend, pumpkin." Her flattering words don't reach my ears.
The bell screamed and
Harper sat in her desk. Where's the new girl? Now, most stereotypical new girls are vibrant like the sun, sweet as candy, and cute as a button. But this girl is better than all of those combined. Her sleek, black hair hung around her like a curtain. She walked confidently, but kept her face hidden. "Ahh yes, Seattle. Come in please..." Miss. Woodhatchet ushered. Huh, Seattle. Interesting.... "Your assigned seat is next to Carlisle Bruxen, right over there." She told Seattle and motioned over to the seat next to me. How ironic, a seat next to me. When she sat down I noticed a red streak of hair hidden between the black. Seattle stands out from what I've observed.
First period whizzed
by, and I haven't seen Seattle since. Before lunch, I see her at locker seventy-seven. My locker is forty-five.
Harper whispered to a friend, "Has she ever cut her hair?" She giggled as she said it. Anger boiled up in me, she has already started the fresh student bullying. But it looks as though Seattle didn't hear her. Because she grasped her lunchbox and hurried to the lunchroom. I followed her in.
