Part 2

My alarm goes off indicating it being time for me to get ready for work, I usually go in at 9am so I set my alarm for 7:30.

***8:45AM***

I unlock the doors and enter VV. Everything looks fine, the way it was left yesterday. I head to my office to check emails, paper work, and the schedule line up for the day while I wait for opening hour.
Suddenly I hear the buzzer, my first employee wasn't scheduled for another hour, and the store doesn't open until 10 so I wondered who it could be. I finally get up, walk towards the front to see a tall man standing on the other side of the glass.
A customer? I thought.

"I'm sorry sir I don't open until 10."
"No no, I'm sorry. I saw a car parked so I assumed someone was here, I just got in town here visiting my brother and I'm lost could you help me with directions?" he asked.

I contemplated for a second, but he looked innocent and he was fine! Although that part didn't matter much because I had no time to be catching interest in some man. That was the last thing on my mind.
"Sure." I reply.
"Directions to where?" I ask as I open the door and step out.
"It's a school, he's there right now working on a gym I believe but I couldn't get a hold of him. Coral Oaks High"
"Oh okay yes I'm familiar with that school, you wanna keep straight until you see Smiths Ave on your right side, turn down that street then make another right at the third stop sign on Coral Oaks. The school is right at the end you shouldn't miss it."
"Thank you. And it was nice meeting you I'm Daryl by the way. Daryl Hendricks."

Wait.. This must be Bryan Hendricks brother, the one Jayla wanted to set me up with. What a coincidence I thought to myself.
"Would you happen to have a brother name Bryan?" I asked curiously.
"Yeah that's him. You know him?"
"My best friend is a teacher at the school he's rebuilding the gym at. She met him and uhh tried to set us up" I said a little embarrassed.
"Tried?" He asked
"Im not really interested in a relationship at the moment, or men period. I've got other things to worry about. But I'm glad I could help."
And with that I walked back inside and locked the door, watching as he shrugged it off and drove away.

10am had finally arrived and there were already a handful of customers ready to get inside. I wanted to go see Jayla on her lunch break at 11 so I left my first shift coordinator in charge until I return.
I text Jayla letting her know I was coming to see about Josh.

***at the school***

I arrive at Coral Oaks at 11:06am, Jayla is already making her way to my car with the brightest smile across her face..

Me: Girl quit all that smiling you kill me.
Jayla: Nah, you kill ME. Actin like you don't want a man by your side then hittin me up about Bryan.
Me: first of all I don't need one, you don't even know why I hit you up about him but I guess you don't care to know that I think I met his brother..
Jayla: You think?..
Me: Well, at VV this morning, before I opened up this man comes buzzin and shit, I try to tell him we open at 10 but he says he needs directions to a school because he's visiting his brother. So he tells me what school and tells me his name is Daryl Hendricks..

As soon as I spoke his name Jayla looks over to see two men coming out of the small gym-

"Vena look that's Bryan!"
"And that's Daryl."

Bryan did look good, just like Jayla explained him to be. Tall, dark, and handsome. You couldn't tell that they were brothers, not that Daryl wasn't fine too. They just didn't resemble each other well besides the height and muscles. Yes! Both were very muscular which made them even more attractive. Still, I wasn't worried about any of that.
