Inhale (21)

"I'm Compton fareal, you ain't gotta ask, nigga!" Problem's voice blasted through the speakers as Jaylen rode with his top down with Andrea and Wayne in the back.

Everything had calmed down in the last month. Len was laying low, showing no signs of coming out the dark but everyone knew he would show his face soon.

In two days it would be Jaylen's birthday, he would finally be 26. Jaylen didn't like to stress over birthdays especially since it was the day his dad left him.

Andrea had been feeling hormonal, next week her period was coming so she thought that was the matter. She was hoping it was.

Jaylen grabbed Andrea's hand as he looked over at her. Ever since Damon's death Jaylen saw how much he and Wayne needed her. It felt good to see her in his bed every morning and night. Even if your a no commitment person you want someone to wake up to, hold when you have nightmares, someone to love. Andrea gave him that and he'd be damn if he let anybody mess that up.

He was looking for Keshia, her ass had been missing too. He knew she was the only one that had access to the pictures. She was going to pay for trying to fuck with his.

Andrea was happy, it was the day Jaylen would meet her family. Sunday Jaylen wasn't up to it, still trying to deal with losing a brother.

Jaylen cut his music off as he pulled into a peach house, with a blonde roof. Almost every house mostly looked like this in Compton. He could see Mexican and African American men and woman all around the house. Andrea's dads side was huge.

Andrea stepped out the car as soon as it stopped as her cousin Sabrina ran to her with a flat stomach and a baby girl in tow.

"She's beautiful." Andrea said as she lifted her new baby cousin, Tracey. Sabrina looked at Jaylen expectantly as he stood there not know what the hell to do as Wayne played with his iron man toy.

Sabrina chuckled, "I'm Sabrina, Andrea's cousin."

"I'm Jaylen and this is Wayne." Jaylen said.

"He's handsome." She said before she turned to Andrea, "C'mon Andrea I'm sure everyone wants to see you." She said as she took the baby from her hands.

"C'mon baby," Andrea said before she took Wayne from his hands, peppering his face with kisses, "Mommas baby."

Jaylen followed Andrea as she walked to the backyard, showing a retired Kingpin known as Alex. Now he knew why Andrea was so okay with his lifestyle, her dad used to have the same.

Alex stood with a cigar in his hands. Andrea immediately snatched it out his mouth and stomping it in the dirt.

"Lo de papá! Su médico no le dirá que no lo hagas! / Put it out daddy! Didn't your doctor tell you to stop!" Andrea yelled.

"Mira, pequeño. Yo no soy demasiado viejo para poner en mi regazo. / Watch it, little one. I'm not too old to put you over my lap." He chuckled before he pulled his daughter in his arms. She was his prize possession.

"Daddy, this is Jaylen." Andrea said as she pulled back from his embrace, "And this is Wayne."

Wayne giggled as Alex turned his head and looked down at the little boy in amusement. He always wanted a grandchild.

He snapped his head back at Jaylen. Alex had brown skin with a hard look. His voice even held dominance. But everyone knew their was one person he couldn't control and that was Aubrey Diez, his wife.

"Hello, Sir." Jaylen said as he went to shake his hand before he stepped back when he saw the look Alex gave him.

"I've heard a lot about you in the street, including that lil war you got going on with Len. You're a very smart kid. As long as you keep my daughter safe, I won't have to kill you." Alex said with a hard jaw.

Jaylen swallowed. He knew what Alex was capable of. He could tell Alex didn't like him much but he wouldn't let that get in the way of him being with Andrea.

Alex looked down at Wayne as he sucked on his pacifier, he put his finger in Wayne's hand and it immediately wrapped around his finger. He knew he would have a good bond with the little boy.

"Andrea?" A voice that was almost as soft as Drea's said from the patio.

"Madre." Drea said as she turned around. It had been months before she even said one words to her mom. Years since they got to have a real talk instead of a argument. Andrea blinked backed her tears, she didn't want Wayne to see her crying. She knew how that would effect him.

"Are you going to introduce me or just stand there." Her mom said as she looked from Jaylen to the baby in her arms.

Andrea hugged her dad goodbye before she walked to her mom who walked back in the kitchen.
