Nature taking over. Chapter 5

[10k's POV]

I was so happy, to have Daisy back! I couldn't stop hugging her for at least... a long time! After the scientist dude was done explaining things to us, I asked her, to leave this building with me, because I had something for her. I took her hand and leaded her outside.

After we walked around the corner of the building, I turned her around and said "Okay. Close your eyes. And don't look!" and took her by the hand again, leading her to the backside of the building and the green houses. 

I had found this garden earlier, when we had arrived and thought Daisy would like it. We stopped walking "Open your eyes." I said. She did and was quiet, just looking around. "This is beautiful! I love, how nature is taking over again slowly!" she said quietly and turned to me, looking at me with her deep-blue eyes. 

While we were walking around in the garden, forgetting about everything, we held hands the entire time. It was like we were 15 again and just had found our first love. Even though she was my first one. We stopped on a bridge, looking into the water. She leaned on the railing. "Do you know what I miss?" she asked. "What is it?" I asked back. "Being little again. And not worrying about if I would see the next day or not." she said and spit in the water "Like... Playing outside without the risk of being eaten by an undead...". I raised an eyebrow "Never did that.". She looked at me with a shocked expression on her face "Never?". I shook my head. She stared smiling and tapped against my chest. "Your turn!" she said and ran away. "Hey! What are you doing?!" I stared chasing after her. 

[Daisy's POV]

I was running away from him, because I felt like it at this moment. I hid myself behind a bush and waited for him. "Daisy?!" I could hear him scream from further away. He came closer and the noise of his footsteps became louder. He passed me. I sneaked up behind him and jumped on his back.

He fell to the ground and landed in the grass "What the...?" he said laughing. I rolled down from his back and looked at him bursting out laughing. "Stop it!" he said, also laughing. I couldn't, even though I didn't know what was so funny. "Daisy!" he said again "Stop!" this time more forcing me to shut up, by putting his hand on my mouth. "Get up!" he whispered. He stood up and ran away, and I ran after him. 

"10k? What's wrong?" I asked. He was constantly checking our surrounding. "10k!" I said again. He still didn't answer me. "Tommy!". This time I said it louder. He disappeared behind the corner of abandoned building. Suddenly he also pulled me behind the building. "Shut up!" he said forcefully, giving me a really creepy look. My eyes widened and I was afraid to say anything. "The strange girl who is following Murphy on every step he takes... She was watching us. We need to get the hell outta here!" he said and peeked around the corner "Listen. She had been with us before. That's something I couldn't tell you... But she had a crush on me I think. At least the others told me." he continued. I got a little upset. "Okay. Tell me more." I said and raised my left eyebrow. He peeked around the corner again "Let's go back to the others." he started walking back. "We lost her on the day we found you. For a moment I was glad that she was gone. We ran into her group when we left the place we were staying at. They wanted her back and nearly killed Addy. So she went with them. We tried to get her back by sneaking Murphy into the place they brought her. By than he already was able to control Zs. But the whole biting thing is something new to me. And I didn't tell you about the earlier, because  it's ..." he paused "Did you hear that?" he asked. I shook my head and suddenly we both started running.

Only seconds later we reached the greenhouse again. Some strange Z had freed him self from the greenhouse. I looked over to 10k and we made eye contact. The Z was connected to the rest of the greenhouse by some vines. We ran over and pulled the Z backwards. It was trying to attack  Murphy. Pulling as hard as we can, we finally managed to get him far enough that the vines got stuck in some kind of industrial fan. It ripped the undead om a thousand pieces and Murphy was save!

Suddenly a black truck stopped b the front gates. A man in a suit opened the door and got off. As well as some bodyguards, which were heavily armed. Vasquez got nervous. "I think we need to leave now!" he said and ran to our truck. Warren was confused. But since we didn't had anything to do left, we decided to leave and continued our way.
