*Watson's POV*

In the weeks proceeding, this case had become the most strenuous ever. At least for those I had been involved with this past year. The 007 unite had equipment all over our flat. Cameras at every window. Computers on all the counter space. And Not to mention the stuff that filled their apartments in the buildings and flats that surrounded ours. It drove the land lady up the walls.
"An international consulting criminal, is believed to be targeting us, and yet this whole case has gotten us no where. All we do is read through hundreds of case files and reports and waste our time. We haven't picked up any paying job. Do you really think the government will make this worth our time?" I whispered to Sherlock one night before bed. "This is important John". And that is all he ever said about that.

"We have new intell" James said as he came into our flat unannounced.

"Do tell" Sherlock replied.

"Tomorrow night at the London Embassy Auction,  a business exchange between the Russian law firm, Rocher and Associates president, Martin Baker and Moriarty, under the alliance Rodger Smith, will take place"

"He'll be there, alone?" I asked.

"Well his men will be there, armed. Along with half the Russian Mafia."

"I must speak with him."

"What no Sherlock, he's dangerous. I'm sure it'll ruin the whole operation. If we just fallow Mr.007's plan we can take him down into custody and you can question him then."

I did all I could I still feared I didn't get through to him. But no matter we had work to do Brigham, and Leming kept the HQ tabs back at 221B, while Sherlock, Bond, and I, dressed for the occasion, went under cover to the Embassy Auction. I have done breaking and entering for evidence search, and I have done interrogations but this was the first time I had ever done an under cover job before. It was exciting but nerve wrecking all at the same time. My black bedazzled-silk dress curtained over my ankles and just barely past the straps on my matching healed shoes.

"You look enlightening" Sherlock whispered in my ear as we got in the limousine (secretly our 007 vesicle).

"Ah thanks" to be honest I don't know if it was the fact I had never worn a backless gown before, or that it was the first time Sherlock sincerely complemented me by how I look before but it was overwhelming and flattering.

The party was nice and formal but I kept getting this funny feeling that something wasn't right. I wandered around tried to seem appealing to several drunk business men. Where is he I thought as I searched for any signs of Moriarty. And as I turned to get another glass of champaign from the bar I saw these cold eyes as they stabbed my soul.  Eyes I hadn't seen for a while. My heart sank into my stomach as I dropped my glass and started to panic. It can't be, but it is, The Consulter.
