Chapter 9

*NEXT MORNING THURSDAY*
Lia POV

I woke up and looked at the time. 8:32 I got up got the kids up."No I don't wanna go to school." Lexi whined. "You too big for that. Put your shoes on lets go back home cause you going to school" I said

I didn't remember falling asleep at Jai's house. That storm hit hard because a tree fell on a house down the street. As me and Lexi walked back home, I unlocked the door and told her to get dressed. There was a knock at my door.

I answered and it was Chris standing there smoking weed. "Chris?! Don't come over here smoking and I have a child." I could tell he was high.

"Girl!" He said getting in my face. "Let me in" He said. I opened the door so he could come in and he plopped down in a chair.

Lexi came out her room because she was ready to go. I started searching for my keys, and couldn't find them "Do you remember where I put my keys Lexi?"

"I think you left them at Auntie Jaila's house" She said. I grunted and put on my shoes.
"Momma who's that man in the chair?" She asked
"My name Uncle Chris" He said smirking
"Don't call him that Lexi, now come on here"

Me and Lexi walked back across the street to Jaila's house, and the door was still unlocked and she was still sleeping. "Jaila get up" I said shaking her.
"Oh shit what time it is?" She said wiping her eyes

"Time for the kids to be at school" I said bucking my eyes
"Alright give me a minute" She said

About 20 minutes later, Jaila still wasn't ready. She didn't even wake Levi up. I said 'fuck it' and walked out the door. I was taking Lexi to school and I slammed on breaks. I totally forgot Chris was in my house, alone.

I went inside and checked Lexi in. She went to her class and I ran back to my car.

Jaila POV

I wasn't feeling good this morning. I threw up and everything when Lia left. I took a painkiller and went back to sleep. "Momma i'm not going to school?" Levi said waking me up

"No, go back in your room" I said dosin back off.
"Momma you smell stinky, and i'm hungry" He said
I jumped out of bed and made him breakfast, while he was eating, I took a shower and cleaned myself up.

Tonio POV

This morning I returned back to my house. I just couldn't stay there with my momma anymore. She's so over protective. Anyways, I pulled in the drive way, got out and entered the house. Levi was sitting at the table eating. "Whats up li man how you been?" I asked. "Good where you been dad?" Levi asked getting up and giving me a hug

"Out running errands"
I seen Jaila walking from out of my bedroom in my t-shirt.
"Jaila" I whispered
She shook her head and slammed the door.

"I'll be back Levi go finish eating" I said
I walked to the back and knocked on the door
"Fuck you want Tonio!" Jai yelled
"Now you gon' get enough of cussin. How you know this me? I could've been Levi" I said
"Leave me alooone!" She threw something at the door and I jumped.

"Jaila i'm asking nicely open the door, Levi out here looking confused" I said
A few seconds later she opened the door. She looked horrible.

"You look worn out-"
"Where's Levi?! You lied to me again" She screamed punching me.
I grabbed both of her arms and pushed her to the bed.

She got up trying to run out the door but I pushed her back and she fell. I closed the door and locked it. "Get up Jai!"
"NO! GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME! GET 'EM OFF ME TONIO! I HATE YOU!" She yelled kicking and screaming.
"Jaila!" I yelled forcing her against the bed.

"You said you loved me Tonio! You lied!" She said crying
"Baby I still do"
"Get off me!" She squirmed trying to break free.

"No be still" I said
One of her arms broke free and she slammed me so hard my jaw started throbbing again.

"I fucking hate you!" She slapped me again.
I was getting angry and I slapped her back.
She looked at me with complete fear and cried even harder.
