I step into our apartment, the eerily quiet apartment. Normally bursting with the yells of laughter from my dyslexic younger brother Jack. But there is none today...

"Mom? Jack?" I ask the air.

"J-Jayda, In here." A small voice answers.

"Coming." I walk towards the noise and I open the kitchen door. Jack is sat on the floor whimpering.

"What's wrong buddy?" I ask.

"Mommy. She go to shop. She left me here and not come back." I bring out my phone and swipe my mom's number, she doesn't answer.

"Im sure shes okay Jack. She's probably caught up." I pick him up and slide him into his chair just before my phone rings.

-Phone call.- (N-Norman M-me.)
