"We're short on staff today because a few people called in sick, so all the orders I make, I'll be taking them to the tables instead of you guys. You will each be assigned five tables, which is one more than the usual amount you are assigned, so be ready to stay on the move. No slacking!", I explained to the workers as we prepared the kitchen for today's work.

I walked over to one of the tables, where I seen two men sitting and pulled out my notepad. "Welcome to Ghengis Grill, my name is Nicole and I'll be your waitress and chef today. Can I start you off with some drinks?", I said while looking down at the notepad.

"Yeah, I'll have a Coke.", a familiar voice said. I looked up to see Rashod annoying as smirking. I rolled my eyes and looked over to his friend, that seemed to be mesmerized by my hips, because he continued to stare.

"And you sir?"

"Oh, my bad. I'll have a Sprite.", he said. I nodded my head and was about to walk away, but Rashod stopped me.

"We will like to order to nigga, damn.", he said while doing a ratchet girl face. I laughed and then took their orders, before walking to the back.

Once I made it to the kitchen, I started cooking up some mashed potatoes and chicken smothered in a light brown gravy. I seasoned the chicken thoroughly and then placed them into the pan which contained the gravy, which was made from wine. I placed the mashed potatoes into a pot and let them boil, while I added more to the chicken, to give it more flavor. Once I finished all the food, I arranged it nicely on the plates and took them out to table four.

"Chicken breast, smothered in our Italian gravy, with a side of mashed potatoes.", I said while sitting the plates down on the table.

"Nicole stay working boy!", Rashod called out while laughing at me. I rolled my eyes at the fact that he always had some shit to say. I don't even know why they at my damn restaurant.

"Shut the hell up.", I replied before mean mugging him. He smiled at me and went to eating his food. I stood there and waited for his remark, and I noticed his friend looking at me.

"Um, hey.", I said while smiling. Shit, he staring at me, so obviously he wanted me to speak.

"Oh, my bad. What's up?", he said while finally taking a bite of his food.

"Nothing much. You were staring at me.", I told him. He nodded his head and continued to go in on the food. I laughed at how he had picked up the pace as he continued to stuff his face.

"Slow down Trent damn. You going to pass the fuck out and if you do, I'm leaving your ass here.", he said. I chuckled a little at how his friend, who I now know is named Trent, gave him a death stare. I shook my head at them and decided to leave so I could go get their bill.

As I approached the back, I grabbed their bill from the table and walked back over to give it to them.

"This is your bill for your meal today. Your total will be 52.74.", I said. Rashod handed me a card and I went to the back to swipe it, returning with his card and receipt.

"This food was good as fuck Nicole.", Rashod said while rubbing his belly.

"Preciate it. Me, you, Bambi, and Quan need to link up soon. Double date type shit.", I said. I shrugged his shoulders at me and then rolled his eyes.

"Jamerica and I are not a fuckin' couple. Why do I keep having to te-"

"You got a boyfriend?", Trent asked, cutting Rashod off.

"Yes, me and him have been thuggin' for four years, going on five.", I said with a smile. He nodded his head and then went to take a sip from his drink.
