"Mika"
His name slipped off your tongue as your (e/c) eyes gazed at the back of his head. Just seeing your childhood friend again was enough for you to keep living, you thought you had no purpose before hand but now.. It was as if a weight was lifted off of you. The weight of always wondering if you would ever see him again, it was gone.
Relief flushed through your body as he turned around to face you, his cold eyes staring right through you. Shock was clearly evident on his face as your troubled eyes stared into his. You tried your best to not let the tears stream down your face as you assumed he did as well. You knew he saw it, the gash on your torso, he knew what was happening. He finally got to see you again and the moment would end so fast.
"(y/n).." He mumbled as he pulled you into a tight embrace, the tears he held back finally dropping down his face. You felt your legs give out under you but he held you up, your vision became blurry as he held you. The whimpers you emitted from your lips as you held onto his uniform were now audible. Your body felt numb as you slowly lost grip on him, you no longer felt pain, just peace.
"No (y/n) don't give up!" he yelped as he fell to his knees, resting your head on them. You just smiled and closed your eyes, you knew you were going but.. Why did it have to happen so soon?
"Thank you.. For being here.." You managed to let the words out of your scratched throat as your eye sight slowly faded. You closed your eyes and smiled, just being in his arms was enough to put your mind at rest.
"I.. I love you.. So much" you spoke, allowing your last breath to leave your body. Your heart stopped beating and so did his (for the moment).
He let out a jagged scream of terror and regret.
"No (y/n) you can't leave me! I-I love you too!" He screamed, pulling your body into his and sobbing into your battered uniform.
"Why.."
