The city was already dimmed. Halfway of the streets were already eaten by the darkness as the sun vanishes. On the contrary, enormous modern castles lightened up. I was blinded by the headlights. Cars were moving faster at a blink of an eye.
I knew they might think I was stupid. Though, I really was.
Isang boses lamang ang aking narinig.
"This is what you've wanted, Charaigne." Di ako puwedeng magkamali. Kilalang kilala ko ang boses na iyon. Ang aking ama.
I was here in this world out of my stupidity and curiosity. I admired this world: the 7th dimension.
"Please take me back. I promise I won't make mistakes again. Dad," I begged again, but he declined. It was like he's mistreating his own daughter.
I opened my eyes. Nothing changed. People were still staring at me.
I was super doomed. How was I supposed to handle this situation? I was all by myself, and even if I use my powers, it wouldn't work at all. I was just a junior sorcerer-- not big to brag. I was the king's youngest daughter. I could manipulate water, that's it. I lived on the 3rd dimension, which was human's creation. We're born because of their wild imaginations. We lived on their dreams. And wasn't it unfair? We got the powers they wanted. It was a bit complicated, lalo na't wala akong gaanong kaalam sa history ng mundo namin. Ugh history. I hated it.
We were immortal. And if you were going to ask what our world looked like, it was just a copy of this world. Pero iilan lang ang tao doon sa mundo namin. This was one of the reasons why I got bored there.
Humans were quiet interesting creatures. Their nature. The pride--
"Ate, may piso po ba kayo? Palimos po." I was startled by a kid messing the lower portion of my dress that he could grab. He reached out his hand, asking for some coin.
"E-eh?" I didn't know how to react. I was new to this. Yes, I observed them a lot when I was in our world. I used to imitate the way they live, because it had a huge difference from ours. I already said so, I was effin curious. Humans were greedy. They easily get envious whenever they cannot have those things they wanted, and drag down other people just to be on top. Human nature, I guess.
I was about to tell him I couldn't give him any when suddenly a guy appeared in front of us and approached him.
"Ito oh," the guy gave him a twenty peso bill. The kiddo mouthed 'thanks' to the guy. The smile on the kid's face were incredibly visible as he walked away, just ignoring me. We both watched the kid until he vanished in our sights. The guy faced me.
"Masama maging madamot huh," He giggled and talked to me as if I'm not some stranger. Main reasons din 'to kung ba't napapahamak ang mga tao. Mortals-- erm.
"What if I told you I didn't really have any pennies to give?" He put his both hands up in the air, like he was a criminal surrendering to the cops. He shook it.
"Fine, fine. Just kidding at all." Another giggle came from him, again. Would he stop being so jolly?
I walked passed him, being disrespectful. He's just a common stranger and it was his own decision to give that kiddo some kind of mini donation. Gratitude is not in my dictionary.
I caught him at the side of my eye, he's following me from behind.
"Wait up, hey, hindi ako sindikato." I stopped and faced him,
"I couldn't care less. What's your business with me?"
"I'm observing you all the time," he paused, "See that convenience store--"
"Okay, so what?" cutting him off.
He sigh, "I'm a part-time photographer, and our company looks for a model. I just want to know if you would like to--"
"How could I assure that this isn't a scam?" He laughed his ass out.
"Wow, sa mukha ko na 'to? Scam?" Lakas ng apog nito. Air-headed, "Just kidding! I'm Yohan Steidler. And you?" Silence answered him.
He searched his pockets instead of waiting for me to say my name. The next thing I knew is he was holding a calling card. He forced me to take it, or should I say he gave it to me without my approval.
"Well, if you're interested. Just call me." He smiled. His dimples had caught my attention.
"Okay--"
"So bye." He winked at me. And in a glimpse, his presence was nowhere to be found by my eyes.
