"You're such a bitch for not giving me all the freaking details!"
You look at your best friend and giggled. "What's more to tell? You read every single update online!"
"Because that's where I get some of the details now! You don't even use your phone to call me to tell that you're in a freaking relationship with one of the hottest Irish men alive!"
You laugh a little more. You miss this. You miss your best friend's exaggeration. You miss the simple life--the one where you're not hiding 24/7 from the press.
"Go on, spill!" your best friend egged on.
"Well, what do you wish to know that you haven't heard from the social media?" you say.
"For instance," your best friend said, sitting straighter. "How good is Niall as a kisser?"
You blushed. "Tremendously good kisser. The best kisser ever."
"And how many kisses have you gone through to make any comparison?" your best friend teased.
Your mind leafed through your previous life without Niall. You remember this one time you kissed a boy you kinda like as a dare.
"Kissing whats-his-name for a dare is not counted," your best friend said before you could even retort. "I mean those types of kisses where passion is overflowing, your heart is beating like it's gonna burst, and your hair's entangled in his hands."
You started to say that the kiss you shared with your kinda-liked boy way back is heartstopping in its own way but then you remembered Niall's kiss on your lips. Your best friend is right. Nothing can compare to the kiss you encountered with Niall. Ever.
"See?" your best friend said, smirking.
"Shut up," you say. "I'm just glad that I'm back in school."
You glanced at the familiar hallways, familiar faces, and the ever familiar air of struggle, stress, and mental breakdowns.
"Really?" your best friend teased. "You're glad that you're no longer in the arms of your ever dashing prince charming, Niall James Horan?"
You looked down at your phone's wallpaper. It's of you and Niall doing funny faces that one time in his hotel room while watching this new game of football.
Of course you miss him but summer is officially over, he has to fly back to Los Angeles and promote his new album and you have to focus on (Your Course) so you'd get your diploma in a few years. Good thing there's iMessage, Twitter Direct Messages and FaceTime.
"I miss him terribly," you mutter.
"Oh cheer up, love," your best friend said, wrapping her arm around your shoulders. "School day would be over before you know it and you're back to FaceTiming your celebrity boyfriend."
"School hasn't even started and I wish I'm FaceTiming him now," you admitted.
Your best friend said nothing and continued to hug you.
"Oh lookie, it's the social wannabe!"
You looked up and saw the Bitch Squad--or rather that's how you call the League of Queen Bees. It's how you remember them: spray tanned legs and arms, size zero bodies, fake blonde hair, sunglasses even though they are indoors, and the hot pink too-sexy outfits. The leader of the B.S., Jessica Knowles, strutted towards you and sneered.
"Oh hello Jessica," you say timidly.
You wonder why the heck they're trying to intimidate you then it hit you. You're dating one of the biggest celebrities in the world and the guy just proclaimed his love in national television. Of course they're here to intimidate you.
"Don't you hello me, bitch," Jessica snapped, staring at you through her polished Chanel sunglasses. "How'd you snag a hottie like Niall? I mean look at you."
You glance down at yourself. You feel like you look alright: black skinny jeans, ruffled white blouse, and a gray knit cardigan that you totally adore. You're not wearing heels like the B.S. but the sweet black Chuck Taylors that you've owned forever is just so comfortable and wonderful on your feet.
"What about me?" you say, raising your eyebrow at Jessica.
"Oh come on!" Jessica said, exasperated. "You're like the dirt on my feet. You're worthless. It makes me wonder if you did some freaky voodoo on Niall or something because he cannot fall for someone like you."
You couldn't help but laugh at her. The jealousy is oozing from her and not at all intimidated unlike how you feel when Sophie is around.
"Am I supposed to find this terrifying?" you say after laughing.
Jessica continued to glare at you.
"Jess, we're in college. Okay so I have this wonderful normal guy as a boyfriend that you can't have. So what?" you say, flipping you hair behind your shoulder. From your peripheral vision, your best friend is holding back her laughter and you take that as a good sign.
"You're hot, you're pretty," you say, looking Jessica up and down. "You're bound to find someone...other than my boyfriend, Niall James Horan."
You stood up to mark it as the end of the discussion but Jessica pushed you back down.
"We're not yet finished, slut," Jessica said menacingly. "Stay away from Niall because he's supposed to be mine."
"Or what?" you taunt.
"I'll make your life miserable in school," Jessica said, smirking.
You laugh at her. Hard. This takes Jessica aback and turn to her possé.
"That's the best you got? Make my school life miserable?" you say, standing up and placing your hands on your waist just to look in control.
"For all you know, I have several problems and I'm not counting you as one of them. Bitch, you're worthless in my life. I can't stay away from Niall because I love him and even if I tried, he's the one who'll run after me," you say as confidently as you could.
You started to walk away with your best friend in tow. You stop by the door and turn back to Jessica and her possé who look angry and irritated more than ever.
"And I do meant the fact that you'll find someone else, Jessica," you say in your fakest sweet tone. "Just not my boyfriend."
And then you walked away.
When you're sure you've gone twenty feet from the room you left Jessica in, you took a deep breath and leaned on your best friend.
"Wow! Where'd you get the words and moves like that?" your best friend said, catching you as you lean to her.
"Let's just say Jessica isn't the only bitch in my life that's against me and Niall," you say, taking several deep breaths to calm your nerves.
Your best friend nodded and patted your back, "But whatever. You showed her who she's dealing with!"
"Thanks," you say, standing straighter. "But was I right to just say things like that like Niall chasing after me when I'm the one who's pushing him away?"
Your best friend hugged you and said in the most soothing voice, "Hun, Niall is crazy about you. He'll jet towards wherever you are just so he could show you he truly loves you! I know. I've read the tabloids."
You laugh at your best friend and beamed, knowing fully well that your best friend is right (sort of).
"But can you like introduce me to Harry? You know how in love I am with that crazy hottie," your best friend gushed, looking dreamy all of a sudden as she jumps in her Harry Styles fantasy.
You roll your eyes and wrapped your arm around your best friend. "Oh sure and we'll have the best One Direction double date ever!"
"For real?" she said, stopping to look at you.
You laugh. "I'll try but Harry is a bit hard to get, if you know what I mean."
Your best friend laughed back and hugged you tight. "Come on, we're late for class and I'm sure tons of girls would die to know the deets between you and Mr. Niall James Horan."
