"Alright, you crazy kids, don't party too hard! We don't need another one of me running around!" I yelled out of the car window to my parents.
"Willow!" Mom screamed back incredulously. My father simply chuckled and replied, "Drive safe tonight, kiddo. People will do some stupid things. "
I smiled at his concern. It's not like it was New Year's Eve. Halloween wasn't exactly known for streets filled with drunk drivers.
Nonetheless, I made a point to assure both him and my mother that everything would be fine and that I would be back to pick them up around 1 am.
As I made my way home, I was contemplating what exactly it was that I was going to be doing tonight.
After some serious thought, a 25 minute drive, and a stop at Wendy's for fries and a frosty, I decided I would spend my night as usual.
Watching wolf documentaries and working on finishing that damn 1000 piece puzzle that I've been working on for a week.

\___>\A few hours and 3 wolf documentaries later, it was nearing 1 in the morning. Without bothering to throw on a coat, I snatched my keys and made my way to my car.
The drive was a bit longer than I preferred, but listening to trashy pop songs on the way there killed time. I was too busy jamming out to "Worth It" I almost didn't see that Blue Ford Truck swerve into my lane.
Without a second thought, I slammed my hand on the horn and yanked the wheel towards shoulder of the road.
I thought my troubles were over when I felt the breeze from the passing vehicle move my car.
What I didn't account for was the short width of the shoulder.
Suddenly all I saw was an approaching tree.
Next thing I knew, my car made impact and everything went dark.
