In the college

Ankit has started with his college and he is enjoying engineering.His family is also getting used to the city now.His father has started going to the office.But Ankit's mother Maya is getting bored at home.She knows noone in the city.She is eagerly waiting for her children and her husband to return home.
Riya after a lot of struggle gets an admission in an engineering college(the college where Ankit is studying).She gets disappointed by the thought of not becoming a doctor but an engineer which she always hated of.
Its her first day to the college,she is a bit nervous and at the same time excited.She is confused about what should she wear.She decides to wear a white-pink embroidered salwar kurta.Then her mother Anjali comes to leave her till the bus-stop.
Its the first time Riya is going somewhere alone.After waiting for 10mins the bus arrives and she takes a seat,waves her hand to say good buy to her mum.The journey lasts for 25minutes.
Riya enters the college premises.She asks one of the staff members where her classroom is.And she enters the class.
There is a group of guys sitting on the last benches who starts murmuring something the moment she enters .Ignoring them with a plain face Riya sits on the first bench next to a girl with spects.
As there is a lecture going on in the class the girl only gives Riya a smile just to make her feel comfortable.Riya in turn also smiles.After the lecture gets over its time for a short break.As the lecture gets over the girl initiates the conversation.

Umm....(riya starts thiking that what reason should she tell because she doesn't wants to tell anything about her family)actually I wasn't sure what should I do medical or engg.
but my parents want me to be an engg.
The word 'parents ' in Riyas life was nomore existing.It was only her mother who was there with her.But then too somewhere felt the need of a strong support.Not financial but emotional.She dint know that,'that' person was one her new classmates,one of the last bencher guys whom she had neglected today.
