Today is the day I turn 18. The day I will move away from my friends and family. A fresh start. Finally. Australia here I come.
My family don't know i'm leaving, there the people I'm getting away from there to over protective they won't even let me cross the road if I'm by myself.
I've told my friends they we upset at start but I told them I'd Skype them everyday. My flight is at 06:00 and it is 02:00 I'm just leaving. I'm gonna have to get out the house quietly , stealthily I tip toe down the stairs and I was about to open the door and my little brother Alex who is 2 years younger than me, comes down the stairs "Lilac, where are you going?" He says while yawning. I just walk up to him and hug him "Bye I love you see you soon " he stares at me for a minute and says " bye I love you too" and he goes back up stairs.
I open the door and wait for my taxi to come. Soon enough my taxi comes. I say goodbye to my old house and get into the taxi. "Where do you want to go" the old man says "The airport" I say and he just nods his head and starts driving.
10 minutes later. I'm at the airport it's about 2:30 I give the luggage to the lady and she weighs it thank goodness it's the right weight.
I'm at duty free now I walk straight to Starbucks and ask for a Chocolate Cream Frappe Grande with Cream. I don't like coffee so that's what I get.
I'm at the gate and just about to get on the plane the flight is about 8 hours. I've only been on a plane once when I was about 2 so I'm not used to this .
