The Greyhound bus being no fuss

However, there were passengers in their curse

The bus was moving to leave the driving to us

Now the hound was cruising down highway 9

Through the rural areas that is just fine

Passing trucks along the way

Saying hi to neighbors on this day

The familiar dog with running style

I have been travelling for quite a while

The dirt road I remember all so well

My hometown story within my tell

I’m travelling to Ventureville, Kansas

A town known for its adventures

As a kid, I remember that old brook

All you had to do was just take a look

I would often fish in the pond

Then fall asleep under the sun then wake up in a yond

The bus just pulled into town

My family and friends have all gathered round

Now my whole story was Greyhound bound

The dog that took me home and a town where I used to roam.
