I can feel the cold-breeze of America on my skin, I looked around and realized i'm in a pool of strangers with blonde hairs, City lights and a city that never sleeps

It's been five months since I first stepped a foot here and I'm getting used to it although i'm still adjusting.

I walked around finding a convenient place to finish a report.

I saw a coffee shop near a foodstand. I entered and looked for a place where I could sit.

Umupo ako sa pinaka huli and called the waiter.

I ordered a caramel machiatto and a carbonara.

I sat there while waiting for my order.

Kinuha ko muna sa dala kong backpack ang isang papel at ballpen. I need to finish this report.

After a minute or so dumating na ang order ko.

I was in the middle of eating when someone cleared his throat beside me like catching my attention, I looked at him.

American. He has a blonde hair that most people here has. And he doesn't look like a Filipino.

"Uhm, mind If I sit here?"
He asked.

I raised a brow because of that.

He sat on the chair infront of me.

I did not mind at all and continued writing my report and he just continued eating.

I stopped and look at him.

"If you're thirsty, would you drink the sea just because it is water?" I asked him waiting for his reply.

He put his drink in the table and looked at me.

"I mean, if you're really thirsty and you don't have a drinking water anymore and the only water that you have is sea water would you drink it?" I asked him again, it took time before he finally answered me.

"Yes. I would." He answered looking straight into my eyes.

My lips formed an "O" because of his answer.

Binitawan ko ang hawak kong ballpen and looked at him.

"How 'bout you?" He asked me.

"I'd rather not." I confidently aswered his question.

Now it's his time to raise his eyebrows? "Why?" He asked me.

"According to literature, sea water can be a cause of dehydration. If I would drink it then I would get more thirsty and die."

He still looked confused.

I took a deep breath and continued my answer, "For example, I love you but you don't love me. And that guy over there loves me" sabi ko sa kanya then pointed a guy on the next table after ours.

"I will not love him just because he loves me. Might get myself broken than to leave that man broken also for having no chance with me. I bet you won't love me just because I love you. Simple, don't do things that might worsen the situation. Wait for the perfect solution." I smiled and stood up while I gather my things. I placed a money in the table for my payment.

Confusion's gone in his face. It was replaced by amusement.

"Thank you for your time mister, I have to go."

And I left the shop, leaving him still amused by my words.
